Would winning 5 out of 6 get us into the NIT?
It might even get us into the Dance. If not NIT I would guess for sure. Long shot for the Dance, but why not. We have now won 5/7 and winning 3 more would be 8 of last 11. There would be 4 Quad 1 wins in that stretch. Best basketball at the end. We would also have 18 wins overall. Lot of people And we would have something like 5 quad 1 wins and even three top 10 wins (Purdue, Nebraska and MSU to get us to the Championship game). They like Cinderella stories. So why not.

I wish, but not likely. Even with 5 straight wins our overall record would be sub-.500

Again, they like a Cinderella story and it depends on who loses. One team that would not get in is Indiana as we would have just beaten them twice, We would have also beaten Purdue, Nebraska and Michigan State. Tough to get all of those wins but if we did, we would have 5 Quad 1 wins and be at the very least a really, really interesting story.

Would be wild and probably one of the oddest cases ever for the committee as we’d be one game under .500 with a title game loss and finished 15th in our league. But we’d also have rattled off three wins against likely top four seeds in a row and have a reasonable NET rating. Fun to imagine, but let’s just get our annual tradition of beating a ranked Purdue team out of the way first.

Got to beat them before anything else, When we get by them, we can talk about NEB
