rare saturday substantive post by me.

that was a game i was very happy not to have a vested interest in because I would have gone nuts.

GW found "the play" that worked against MC" pitch right. Got GW their TD on 4th and 6 from inside the 15 and also got them a few critical first downs.

Lenti threw two passes from the 3 on third and fourth from the 3 yard line in the fourth quarter after running the ball down field. I can't second guess him, but damn...

after a boring week on the board, at least we got an exciting game.

I think this is the first time the Caravan have been blanked since 2003, and only second time ever being shut out in the playoffs.

Prep bowl for the Caravan? Do I dare ask how much longer uncle Frank is coaching...

speaking of the prep bowl. more teams should have such an event.

It's not uncommon for the younger ones to play in those game - JCA did when they were in it, great experience builder.

That was big boy football.

I can't 2nd guess Lenti for those throws as GW stuffed a ton of runs in the red zone. The MC QB was obviously their guy and having him control the game at the end was something I could see myself doing if I had a leader like that. MC had amazing special teams . A 71 yard punt? Are you kidding me? A 65 yard KO return and on and on. Was supr impressed with the Soph LT of MC. 6'3" 285 of man out there. He is going to be a great recruit.

Looking forward to see the stats, but it felt like 273-135 in GW favor with Brodner making enormous run after enormous run. Big boy football on that TD and the final drive to eat up the clock.

GW defense definitely showed some moxie with Gagliano making a ton of huge plays on D forcing 2 INTs while also making 2 sacks and forcing the errant final throw on MC's last offensive play.. That dude is the real deal.

GW may not have beat MC like LA, (and we are all huge LA fans for next week (obv), but I think everyone who watched was treated to some amazing trench warfare.

Hats off to my caravan brethren. GW is a very very good football team. Glad my Ramblers don't have to face them.

Nice win GBW. Who's next?

I think we are heading to Rockford to play Auburn. Which means if we win, we come back to Ducho for the third straight Semi final game there.

Let's hope our luck changes

"MC started 5 of 8 possessions in GW territory. Ran only 2 2nd half plays in own territory"

tells you something about MC special teams. Special indeed
