Think I'm going to stay out of this Olddog. Just be a spectator 🤣

Same I don’t do the mud slinging anymore. Idk just seems silly especially when you ain’t the one on the field playing…...only if I see some BS that’s not true I’ll respond like half the crap UNC91 use to say. I only questioned the whole prison comment cause I mean cmon anyone who really believes that is truly bitter and off the deep end.

That's started probably 25 years ago. Don't even know where it started.I actually heard it like this. The players have to hurry after the game because they got to get back to there 3rd shift job a the pork packing plant. Of course it's not true we all know that. But it's no different that the home cooking comments ED hears all the time. I know that's not true either. And that's not just Clinton people. But that get old too. So there's BS everywhere but none of this said on here will matter Friday on the field. So I'm moving on. Going to be a pack house and probably one heck of a game.

We will get a new line once you put a ring on your finger. Screaming all that tough crap n you havnt done anything. Yea yall have a good team but can't get over the hump tho. Even if u was to beat us friday I still doubt u win the ship 100%

Damn... I struck a nerve bringing up the old prison alumni.

Anyway... ED won't put a ring on their finger this Friday night but they will put boots to asses.

Say what you want but years past has nothing to do with the here and now so stop living there. This is a new year, new playoff, two teams playing for the first time this year. Has nothing to do with rings, just one more playoff game to win or lose. Should be a packed house in Beulaville for a Great game.
Has everything to do with rings, at least that’s what everyone tells us anyway. This has peaked my interest now though, just how many rings has ED won? That’s a serious question that I don’t know the answer to. I know you guys have probably won multiple titles because y’all have been trolling us hard on the NCC thread. Could someone let me know

Olddog is correct. There best shot was in 17. Lost awesome rb after their first possession to knee injury after scoring a touchdown on long run. We all think around here this could be their year. Only reason I’ve pulled for ED was for Battle to get that one. Olddog, Gary, Don, Merle and me were there. Olddog and Don were not pulling for Panthers

Clinton is a very well respected program... They had very talented players that went on to the NFL... ED is also respected with very talented players... I know Clinton has ended alot of talented and strong football teams state championship dreams in the past both home and away... I just expect this to be a good game and I really wouldn't be extremely surprised if the winner goes on to.the state championship game....

Whatever happens Friday night is going to happen no matter how much sh_t we talk to each other. So we may as well have some fun.

We give Goob a hard time because he talked sh_t all year but so what? He had confidence in his squad. As well he should. They're a great program.

I have a lot of respect for Clinton's program. Their fans (most of them) however... not so much.

Jim Boeheim was once widely considered the greatest college basketball coach to never win a title. Upon finally breaking through that wall he quipped to the press... "I don't feel any smarter, maybe tomorrow." Meaning he was just as good a coach as he was before winning that elusive ring.

East Duplin will get there one day. And when they do it might bring validation in the minds of some but it won't mean their program is any more prominent than it is now. Because regardless of what any of you say, NOBODY wants to play us. Same goes for Northeastern.

I feel that the pressure is on Clinton's coaching staff, because ED has one of the best coaching staff in 2A. The little things they do to prepare for a team, and their halftime adjustments are amazing. With that said, Clinton will need to hold back as long as they can in the first half and don't show their hand until the second half. If they do, ED will be victorious. Good luck to both teams.

The staff will still be there if we lose next week. Most of the state’s football experts have ED winning this one, so yes the pressure is on ED.
Never said there wasn’t pressure on ED or that the Clinton coaches were on some sort of hot seat. I will say these are the games Clinton has come up short in over the last few years. There is pressure on this staff to win big playoff games. I’m rooting for them to do it.

Clinton has a young staff with a lot of potential I don’t always agree with every decision or playcall but obviously CJ is a good coach. The kids love him have really bought in to what he is trying to build and they have done well

Watching on nfhs, it looked like a suspect interference call in ot. Flag came from the sideline
If you are talking about our game yea it was. I was standing right behind the ref that threw the flag. I'm just out of view on nfhs. You teach players to keep a hand on the receiver to know where he is as you look around. He didn't grab push or use it for leverage to jump. The HC kid just slid down after our kid jumped up and tapped the ball away . That flag won the game for them.

There was an official 10 yds away that didn't throw his flag

As bad as that was I believe the 4th down conversion where the ED player was clearly hit and driven back not even close to the line to gain was worse and of course Cletus and Billy Bob up in the broadcast booth were screaming first down lol…….bad calls aside still had a chance the turning point my opinion was when Clinton had the ball deep inside the redzone had like a 3rd and 5 ran back to back Blake Smith runs and got stuffed not converting their was the nail in the coffin a few plays later ED cracks off a long TD run and any momentum or hope we had was gone. To play devils advocate it’s bad missed calls every game but good teams overcome unfortunately we were young and just not good enough to overcome.

Wiz can be a little out there sometimes. He loves his horses. His passion sometimes clouds his judgment but the play that sent him in the overdrive of conspiracy theories about the refs and “homecooking” at East Duplin….. this was ruled a catch and they scored next play.

For the most part I get along well with most Horse fans. However wizard is a know it all, annoying, A$$ and I would/will gladly say it to his face if the chance ever arises. He has to be right and no one knows a thing about football except him. Plays are called wrong for every team as high school does not use instant replay. Hoping for a good game Friday without player injuries.

A couple things need to happen for Clinton to win this game. Good complementary football, win line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, limit mistakes(turnovers, penalties etc) steal a couple possessions(force turnovers) and if ED makes a mistake you gotta capitalize on it(can’t remember but last years game i believe we forced a fumble then gave it right back a couple plays later)……Johnson is gonna have to call the game of his life.

You right 34. ED will not not make many mistakes and forces their opponents into mistakes.
