Not trying to make excuses, but here's an excuse for you.....
I'm amazed at the lack of discipline for Naz. I guess the amount of talent they have make it a mute point.

Congrats to Naz. If there was any doubt Love is the best offensive player in Illinois. Simply remarkable. Every time he touches the ball he can score.

That’s the way it is. I’ve told people if you’ve got a kid that’s got the measurables, you could get him a scholarship just showing up at camps and never playing a high school game. I don’t agree with it but that’s how it is.
Marist was no doubt better that game but injuries and no Diamond Evans were a big factor.

The young man’s father said point blank that JJ staying at Naz on this board, completely shutting down some IMG talk by folks who only hear talk ... post of the year: I am JJ’s dad ... you don’t know crap!
SCN held onto the ball and played well on special teams. MC missed 2 FGs and laid it on the turf 3 times.
Also MC refused to go back to power running. Remember this game really broke open when Naz focused on running up the middle. Racki clearly adjusted better than Lynch

Congrat to Naz players, coaches and fans. I told you Voodoo not to go against Naz in any game they played. Wrong on only one with Marist, which left me wondering with all that talent how did they get demolished in that game. Thats high school football for ya!
I picked them in every game this year except Marist so I was 14 for 14 with my Naz game picks!! Only reason I went with Marist is that I think that team/game is just for some reason their achillies heel each and every year. Eventually they will jump that shark but it’s just one of those weird things.
I liken it to Glenbard North and Waubonsie. Two of the three years in the DVC GBN was by far the better team on paper (that 2016 team that lost to state champ ESL on a last second TD was LOADED. I bet they had 8 D1 guys on that team and two of them are playing meaningful minutes on Northwestern at present). They lost to Waubonise and WV had no business being in that game in 2016 or 2015 for that matter. I think everyone has “that team” that is a mental hurdle and for GBN it’s WV and for Naz it’s Marist.
