OK, I'm all-in on the Cats. Could Chicago's Big 10 Team start Big 10 play 8-0? I think so.....

at PSU (Talented, but very young and playing in an empty arena)
at MSU (No bigs, really struggling to get it together)
Minny (First home game, should be pumped)
at Nebby (Not a great squad)
at Rutgers (Not exactly @Butler)
Iowa (Always tough)
At OSU (Probably the most questionable game)
Nebby (Going for the sweep at home)

Now they almost certainly won't but from what I have seen so far this season NU should be able to win each of these games......

Well, my preseason prediction was for more wins than your prediction, I believe, so an 8-0 BIG start is certainly possible from my perspective.

Would love for you to be right, Fitzphile. I'd say 6-2 is probably the ceiling as far as what we can reasonably hope for. 5-3 would be my guess, with 6-2 a reasonable possibility. Very intriguing squad, and I wouldn't put it past them to spring as couple of surprises on the big boys in the conference before it's over.

I don't disagree with your hope, Fitz. However, the OSU game is one of those games they need to start winning to get over the hump.

And Enabler U always finds a way to kill the Cats' hopes when it matters in State College.

We won at State College fairly easily last year. NJ...uh Fitzphile can tell you all about it...
