Northwestern upsets Nebraska

NW in another typical way wins a game they are underdogs. Looking at their schedule, they will likely be unbeaten on Oct 1 when they play us. They play nobody, and will come in thinking they are actually good. Looks like their game is heavily about power running, with some quick passing.

Nebraska really must be the unluckiest team in the country.

Former PSU QB Ta'Quan Roberson hurt his knee on UConn’s second possession and is out of the game. Don’t know how bad it is. Huskies looking pretty good with a true freshman QB leading Utah State 14-0 on the road at the end of the first.

Both of their running backs were better than any of the 4 guys we had at that position last year. Hopefully, the 2 newcomers will change that situation.

That was a terrible call, not needed at the time.

I'm not sure if the color announcer knew something or was just speculating, but he was talking like that decision was made by the kicker (based upon a "look"), not the coaching staff.

They need to reset expectations in Lincoln. This isn’t the Big XII. They traded money for a much tougher conference. Frost is a Lincoln native and Husker hero - they likely will not do much better. That said, they can get away with paying him a lot less. Their recruiting class is currently ranked in the mid-40s.

1. The Big 8 was a cake walk for them for nearly 25 years. OU had some good teams, and even Colorado in the 90s, but the fact Osborne ever lost more than 3 games says a lot about your competition.

2. Recruiting died down with the rise of the SEC. Those Florida and Cali skill kids they used to bolster their roster with quit coming once Tom stepped down.

3. Those PED enhanced OL and front 7 Black shirts aren't quite the same unjuiced.

4. Firing coaches like Solich and Bo P for not winning enough is a bad look. Frost really must carry some weight with that '97 title because his leash has been long for this era of football.

And: he's still going to get 7.5 mil to leave October 1st.

What concerns me is that NW had well over 500 yds of offense, including 200+ on the ground. They just mashed Neb the last 15 plays of the game. They will be undefeated coming to PSU on Oct. 1. BUT SO WILL WE!! Bring it!!
