Don't miss Cal, or Wagner (though wish him well), any of the freshmen. But I was a big Thiero fan when he was here, and hoped he might stay when Cal left. He's turning into a hell of a player.
They have won the last 2 titles (all 12 ncaa games by double digits). They are due for a down season IMO.
I’m gonna say the quiet part out loud ……Z wasn’t very good. He had one real nice game and that was his peak. Weak as water and uncoordinated.

It would be interesting to see Big Z with a different coach. Someone who would develop him better than Calipari.
We might rely on freshmen, but we might see a long line of portal veterans knocking on Pope's door too.
Cal and the Hogs will win their share of games. Maybe even a couple ranked wins. But they don’t look like anything special that’s for sure. This team has all the same calling cards as every UK team from the past 7-8 years.
And they have Cal on the sideline. Good recruiter, decent motivator. Not a good coach.

I think next years starting line up will be... just based off what we have so far...I'm sure we will get some good portal guys. If we get Wilson he will be the 4.

Agreed. He's no better or stronger than he was for us. He looks like a liability out there.
The lack of shooting skill is evident for both teams.
Makes me appreciate Pope's eye for perimeter talent. Can you imagine how fluid our system will be once Pope's been here 3 or 4 years?
They've got to be top 20 picks as well, otherwise he doesn't stand a chance.

He had a great personality and we all loved that about him. But it masked the fact that he was less talented than eloy Vargas. Better shooter tho
Karter Knox has that all-too-familiar look of an overrated freshman thinking, "I should be on the court", that BBN has seen from so many of our past 2nd tier shot clunkers.

They will take a step back but I wouldn’t want them later in the year I don’t think. I haven’t seen any world beaters but we won’t know until we start playing some of them. I think our shooting gives us a shot in any game though, Duke probably looks the best that I’ve seen outside us. The Zags look damn good too.
Don’t ever bet on Cal in a top 10 game. Have you not learned yet? They may pull this out against an over rated Baylor but they are making the same mistakes as always.
Thiero is a beast, but he can't be relied upon to be one of your top scorers every game.

Long prayers from 3. No game plan. They just have to hope and pray they go in.
I think some programs are going to seriously rethink how much they're willing to spend on guys like Davis and Osobor. They're simply not worth the money.
