… well, sometimes the run blocking looks similar to the pass blocking.

This is a caveat of a scrambling QB. OL doesn't know when he is going to tuck and run...

We took what the defense gave us.
We had 99 yards rushing Saturday. FSU averages 113.5 rushing yards defense per game, and ranks 19th nationally.

The bad news is that BC ranks 1st and gives up 52 ypg. So much for the schedule getting easier...

So what's the problem here? Petrino doctrine says you should have 50/50 mix of run and pass. So which is it?

We can run?
Line is bad?
No good running back?
McGee wants to just run Jackson?

I know, if I am an opponent, I would not bite on the play action pass. And we appear to have discontinued using the Tight Ends or screen passes?

You forgot one wilkie...

We're playing a good schedule. A lot better than Petrino's 50/50 good old days here...
Zipp, for years all most Card fans did was ***** about a weak SOS and now that we got a tougher one those same fans ***** about not winning it (SOS)!

In 2011, Petrino's last year at Arkansas they rushed 412 times and passed 471 times
The "50/50 good old days" was my reference to YARDAGE, not attempts.

This year's team has rushed 223 times thru six games and passed 203 times. That's a greater skew to running the ball than your Arkansas example...

Didn't intend to create an argument, sorry if it turned into that.

The yards per carry from the RBs were pretty good, and it "appears" we could have gone to them a bit more and maybe shortened the game.

I get it, lose by 3 TDs there's not a "single" adjustment that impacts the outcome.
