Just watched the 6-man football SC Featured on ESPN+. Got me thinking, what are the rules like in 8-man here in Illinois? Never really thought about it. I might go catch a game one of these years.

If you can find a NFHS rule book they are in the back. A whole section on 9 or 8 and 6 man
smaller field
so most rules that uses yardage are different, example free kick line
Everyone is eligible to catch a pass
a lot more but I'm not going to list them all
Just a sample

Gotcha, Thanks........The thing on ESPN gave a pretty quick overview. The one that I thought was interesting (at least for 6 man, not sure if it's in 8 man) was the "clean exchange rule" meaning there must be a clean exchange after the snap before a person can run with ball. The videos of the teams on ESPN looked very backyard like to me with multiple pitches and toss backs. Looked pretty fun actually!

6 man is pretty big in Texas. Teams score in the 100s. Think the game can end if you're up by 65 points.
