I think that is underestimating our team. It also states that we are undersized which I think is misinformed with Olah being 7 foot, Van Zegeren 6' 10" and several 6' 8" to 6' 9"

I agree. They have us 11th in the Big 10, pretty much where we ended up last season. I think we will be better.

And my eyebrows went up at the undersized comment. Perhaps at guard, but definitely not in the front court.

Based on their basically negative-to-blah comments about Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, we do have room to move up. With only 1 game against MSU, Wisc, Indiana, Mich, and Purdue (only OSU and Maryland sound scary among our double game opponents) we have even more reason to be optimistic.

Oh, and there's our new big and the chance to actually start a power forward at the power forward position if we wish. Probably we'll go athletic with our two forwards most of the time, but we are not undersized unless we want to be. Thanks for the bulletin board material...

i think the football team started with a somewhat similar pre-season ranking, for whatever that's worth!

NU will be pretty good this year and will make the Big Dance.

I think our chances may be better this year than next. We take a big hit at Center after this year.

Center play will be different in 2016 than this season, but different may not mean worse. More athletic, maybe better able to defend man-to-man, so let's wait and see. Supporting cast will continue to get better and deeper.

I think that ranking is too low. I don't see us as being quite tournament-caliber, but I do think we'll end up somewhere in the 50s and solidly in the NIT.
