Well as I said, even with expanded use of EVs, that's just going to place more demand on the power grid. How do we generate electricity and will probably be doing so for the next half century?

I can see why oil producers are gung ho on EV's. It's not going to put them out of business.
I’m just saying it’s not just a “democrat” situation. I bet you’d be surprised at the Republican leaders who have their money sunk in EVs and charging stations.

No actually I wouldn't be. There are just as many RINOs who hate Trump and America and are wedded to a future swamp life as Democrat Socialists. Pursuit of power and the resultant corruption as a by product is not limited to any party.

So you think only “Rhinos” are invested in it? Sure.

I think we should invest in producing our own energy. Stop "forcing" EV's onto us that no one wants or can afford. We have plenty of oil and natural gas and we won't destroy the environment burning or using either.

It's a giant scam.

Help me out. I may have numbers wrong.

But wasn’t the peak price of crude oil around $147/barrel about 8 weeks ago? Now I think I saw $97/barrel.

Locally for me, gas shot up almost overnight to $4.79 when price jumped to that high point. But since the prices have fallen, it is only $4.69 (some places an hour away are at $4.59).
Gas prices always jump fast and receed slowly. I don't know how the business model works at a pump station. I don't know if they but gas and resell it or if they lease tanks for a fee and let the gas provider set prices.

Well, you brought it up about Mexican gas cheaper than US. Then I showed how you were actually wrong because they are subsidizing the price, you switch it up. Would you be blasting our government if we went that route and subsidized the price at the pump? Of course you would. Then your bitching should be directed towards the market. Oil has fallen 15-20% the past 4 weeks, but the price at the pump has went down how much? Hmmm.....

I'm bitching about all of the bleaters who voted for this pedophile, knowing he was going to do this. He said he would and bleaters STILL voted for him. Team Pedo is destroying this country. All of the bleaters who voted for him should stay where they're at and smell the $h!t they helped create.

They cut their noses off to spite their faces out of pure, unadulterated hatred. Period.

...and look what hatred has done to our country.

I said no such thing. I said just as many RINOs are swamp dwelling haters of America as their Democrat Socialist scamming colleagues and we need to get rid of all of them who oppose American energy independence and our continued uses of fossil fuels.

Ok. I think it will be eye opening to see the people who speak “drill drill drill” but have their pocket books with the EV industry. It will come out.

I say drill drill drill and invest in EV too. I think both are necessary. Oil now and once technology allows EVs will be more and more practical

I don't have a problem with that approach....I'm against these EV's being forced on us when we have plenty of oil to make cheap gasoline. Just as you said, when the technology is there to support EV's...then lets use them because we're more likely to be able to afford them too.

And that's exactly what Trump did. We were energy independent until the America-hating Team Pedo was elected.

You're right. We're actually causing more carbon than we did when we were independent.

We're now getting our energy from terrorist countries who are not near as clean as we are. It's nuts.

Team Pedo rolled America over and submitted to China. Leftist leaders and their bleaters say/think Russia is the danger. Bull$h!t. We are helping China become even more powerful by Team Pedo funding the dictatorship country of Ukraine with unlimited funding. We should have kept our nose out of it.

At least China is smiling. Meanwhile the US suffers.

Thanks Pedo-Joe.

The tech just isn't there yet for EVs other than local use.

It's sad you feel the need to try to convince random strangers this is true.
I'm stating a fact. I could care less whether you believe me or not. Would I like gas to be less expensive? Sure. More so for the economy than for me personally. Plus, all my gas goes through my business so it hurts even less due to the tax benefits.

Why didn't you answer my gas question to you? If the price of a gallon of gasoline is of no consequence to you, why do you care what it costs? If your business pays for your gas, you're losing money paying more for it than you could or should. At any rate you shouldn't be unconcerned about that business expense. Who runs a business looking for the most expensive supplies available, or essentially unconcerned about a line item cost as you claim to be about the price of gasoline?

You're either a very unsound businessman or an inveterate liar.

Their leftist ideology is far more important than any loyalty to the Country. They are happy to see the USA crash and burn even if it means they also feel the economic pain. It is a sickness from which they will never recover and the reason they must be crushed at the ballot box.

I saw over $5 and it’s down at like $4.35 near me at the cheap joints.

I made the statement decades ago that "if you aren't crooked when you enter politics yoy soon will be". The amount of easy free money floating around the political arena makes it very difficult to remain unaffected by it's presence...

Lucky you.
$4+ dollar a gallon gas, yea, lucky.

Fvcked up barometer of good this administration has created.

Under Trump, I was paying about $900 a trip for gas every time I went offshore. I’m paying over $2000 now. I have less tuna in my freezer, and the general mood on the piers is abysmal. If the offshore community is any indication of the upcoming midterms, it’s gonna be bad for the Dems.

The fact that someone like Pelosi can come in and after decades of spending OPM become a millionaire tells you all you need to know about how corrupt that swamp is.

I could care less because I have the luxury of doing so. I’ll be fine either way. I’ve saved plenty of money and invested wisely and whatever I’ve lost the last year. I’ll gain back in spades because I have plenty of time before retirement and my kids go to college.

Maybe you don’t have that luxury, which is why you’re so angry.

I’m not worried about the day to day price of gas or groceries. It will all fall back to the means. And I’m not myopic enough to think the entire economy falls on one President.

Yet your hatred for Trump as President was borderline delusional. It was at least so bad you couldn't stand him leading the country, despite him doing so successfully.

So you go out and cast your ballot in a fit of rage and/or jealousy simply to have him removed, and as a substitute you vote for gasoline 3 times more expensive for your business, investment losses to your portfolio, and runaway inflation eating away at your profits, expenses, and your employee's wages.

Aren't you the smart one? 😏

Yeah. That’s what happened. You don’t get it. I have voted Rep and Dem in the past. I vote for a person not as some sheep like you all. Trump sucked. He road on Obamas economic Inc coat tails, ****** yo the COVID response, and just about ruined our Democracy. However bad Biden is Trump is worse in all the ways that count.

You all have sold your souls and think Trump gives a **** about you. It’s hilarious

And I’ll certainly be annoyed if I have to deal with Trumps fat face for another 4 years, but I’ll be sitting pretty either way. You are the seperate ones that think Trump will save your ****** way of life, but he could give 2 ***** about you. He actually cares more about me dumb ***. He’s just telling you what he wants to hear like some drunk slut in a bar who he’s trying to ****

Yeah but you just stated earlier in this thread that one President doesn't/can't cause all of the calamity you just laid at Trump's feet! I mean make up your mind?

Your're either confused, or so filled with rage Trump's broken your mental capacity to objectively evaluate candidates and their policy results. At the very least you are hopelessly uninformed and you should probably just sit this next one out because Trump WILL run again, he WILL win again and and he WILL pursue the exact same agenda and achieve the exact same results for the country that left you derranged and dejected.

You have no better option, so just stay home and seeth that Trump's back re-tormenting your deluded mind. 😝
