If you haven't (or anyone else for that matter) have not been to the 9/11 Memorial and/or Museum you should definitely go.
Both will break you as well
I was there when they were still removing the towers and went back when they completed the memorial.
It's is definitely worth seeing.

I was in NY on 8/11. Drove up the turnpike from the Philadelphia area. The towers were magnificent.

The year prior I rode the elevator to the observation floor.. it was unreal how fast that thing moved! The view down from up there was unreal, it would take your breath away. I can’t imagine what these people went through on that day.

If you haven't seen the National Geographic documentary "9/11: One Day in America" you should definitely watch it. It's hard to watch, but I think it's necessary. Just what those people went through is impossible to imagine, even with the video. Horrific.
