I get what you’re saying but every coach in the country would have taken Allar over Beau.
Absolutely 100% and I would have and still do. Drew has a much higher upside and I hope it all clears up for him. He can be elite.
The fact you're even comparing him to Allar is laughable but you have an agendda.I am watching or I wouldn’t have commented. Yes the running game is winning the game for them. It’s clear you don’t understand how and RPO offense works if you are blindly stating the running game is what’s winning them the game without acknowledging that having a QB that can gash you on the ground causes your D to play the run game different allowing your Rb’s to get free. Watch the Landon Tengwall video showing this offense with Drew vs Beau (square peg round hole). Same plays that lead to two different results due to two different QB’s.
After last season I was excited to have Drew back and expected him to make a massive step forward. Hasn’t happened yet. He actually looks like he’s regressed. Doesn’t mean he can’t. But Beau has played better against better competition. Not sure why people like you get so touchy about it.
I’m not the only one thinking Beau is currently playing better than Drew.

I'm well aware of what the RPO is. They don't need Beau--did you watch Missouri last year? Do you know who Brady Cook is?
Drew doesn't look like he's regressed at all--you just want that to be true.
Beau's played no competition--Kansas is absolutely garbage and South Carolina gave up 31 points at home against Vandy.

I'm sure when he does well against UMass next week you'll think that's impressive too
Drew is never going to be a running QB nor should anyone want him to be. It doesn't even make sense.

Tom Allen has been a failure at Clemson. Perhaps we won in spite of him last season? Pretty easy to run a good defense with Abdul Carter and company.

He's not but you don't understand what you're watching. If you actually review tape and understand things such as route running and defensive schemes you'd comprehend. Part of the problem is you focus on his mechanics--and dislike him throwing off his back foot--which all QBs do that have his arm strength. When the WRs start running sharper routes you'll see his accuracy improve. Well, you should but...
