It’s funny they keep hiring and firing OC’s, finding portal Qb’s, shelling out NIL and they still can’t score. Seems like there’s one constant and it’s Ol’ Rat face himself.
Sounds like the same pattern as their wrestling team. Must be an Iowa thing.

That's a pretty inexcusable mistake for the officiating crew...how the hell does no one on the crew realize what's happening?

Wait, what happened? They were permitted to punt the kickoff?

Thanks to YoutubeTV's unlimited DVR, I have every NCAA/NFL football game recorded, so I just rewatched the sequence.

Missouri scored a touchdown. There was an unsportsmanlike conduct call on one of their Offensive Linemen on the play. Kansas elected to take the 15 yard penalty on the kickoff. So Missouri had to kick from their own 20 instead of the 35. Missouri sent their punter out there, ball in hand, and punted it like you would after a safety. And somehow, the refs (and everyone else) rolled with it.

Refs will miss bang-bang calls, penalties, etc. But this was one of those instances that simply can't occur in a low-level High School JV game, let alone a D1 game...and hence why the suspension was announced. It's inexcusable to mess that up.

And speaking of an inexcusable mistake, how does an NFL Head Coach not realize that getting an elbow down is enough to be considered a catch? You're making millions of dollars, but don’t know this nuance (or, if you're this poor with the rules, not have someone standing next to you that does understand them)?

Pressed after the game why he didn't challenge the call, Callahan explained, "You’ve got to get a foot in bounds, too, which we didn’t have a clean look at whether his foot was down, as well. An elbow doesn’t equal two feet, so his foot would have had to come down, as well. We didn’t have a clean look, so the call from upstairs was that it wasn’t worth challenging.”
