Impact Player for Chicago Solorio: Senior WR/DB Brian Whitsey (6-foot-1, 200 pounds) is verbally committed to NIU and is one of the top names to watch in the CPL in 2020. Whitsey. who was recruited by the NIU Huskies as a safety is also a talented and speedy receiver who I expect will get the football into his hands as much as possible in 2020.
EDGY's Quick Take on the Chicago Solorio Sun Warriors: The Sun Warriors missed the IHSA state playoff field in 2019 (4-5) but look for this team to have the potential of a nice bounce back season in 2020. Solorio and head coach Bill Ziemba welcomes back an experienced team with 16 returning starters including an impact player with star quality in Brian Whitsey. If the Sun Warriors can replace a handful of graduated starters upfront on the offensive line, they have a good shot at getting back into the IHSA playoff field in 2020.
