I thought that Rutgers was far better on Sunday. Shot it better from 2 and from 3 and ran a more fluid offense against a better team. MSU is in my opinion not bad,but awful. Rutgers defense was excellent, but with no point guard and no pure shooters,I put MSU in a bucket with Nebraska and Northwestern. It is great to get the monkey off the back, but I am more impressed with the road win on Sunday and will be more impressed with what should be a road win this Sunday. There has only been one complete clunker this year and it was at MSU,from buzzer to buzzer.

MSU is not as bad as they were tonight.

They were coming off 2 weeks of no practice, no basketball. We came in and did what we needed to do against such a squad.

It’s what I wanted to see against Penn State as well, but at least we got it here.

No argument from me. Harper off. If he hit 4 of his shots this was ugly at half time , never mind at end of game. It was great blowing them out though. Regardless. Pike has right team on the court. We saw reckless Jacob tonight. Still love him. Montez with some nice jumpers. Myles, wow

Don’t want to take away from a great Rutgers win but MSU was absolutely terrible.

Agree with you. Rutgers played really well and MSU was absolutely awful...the perfect storm. At least we didn't let MSU drag us into their level of play last night. You need to step on a team's neck when they are bad....like we did last night.

I think they were close to awful last night but I don't think they are a bottom 4 B1G team. Bottom half? Most likely. I think you get more out of winning a close test at IU than last night. Hoping we have the right attitude and confidence to take care of business Sunday at NW.

We didn’t play well yesterday as much as we played smart. It was almost as if it all came together after the first half collapse against PSU. We beat ourselves there and seemed to suddenly realize how to fix it a little too late.

Sorry '72 but both wins were impressive. You're not always going to shoot lights out. What we did last night was we played tenacious defense, something we haven't seen out of Rutgers in a long time. Yes, we shot the ball better against Indiana and right now Indiana is definitely a better team than MSU, but both games were important and the next game against Northwestern is even more important if we want to make a run and get an NCAA bid.
