Coaches and players need to realize UK football can never take any team for granted. We have done nothing to earn respect and even lowly APSU didn't fear us. Glad the boys woke up and are now taking care of business. We should always play like the underdog.
Although we all agree. Everyone who played sports has just went through the motions at times. It's the thing that frustrates every coach who has ever coached more than anything

EKU put up 67 points on AP. Easy to see how they over looked them but it's cause for concern to see this team play at this level no matter what.

But they should overlook AP. Louisville gets extra practice time...we should too. I wouldn't give two craps if they were watching UL tape all week.

They weren't losing to Peay no matter what and winning next week is more important than beating the spread or pleasing fans this week.

If Stoops hasn't learned not to take anyone lightly at this point then he never will. It's alarming how Stoops continues to make the same mistakes over and over and over again. I want Stoops to succeed for Kentucky's sake, but my goodness the guy just continues to show his warts and give his doubters countless ammunition. I just still don't think he's cut out to be a head coach at the P5 level..hopefully he proves me wrong, but it's just hard for me to ignore his history and what he continues to show us in games like EKU, WKU, ULL, Austin Peay, Vandy, Southern Miss, etc, etc, etc.

Can't blame the team

Stoops basically told them the game was a practice by sitting an able Johnson

Never seen or heard of a coach doing this. Not even numero uno would have sat a single player

I went to the game tonight and have to agree. If that first quarter or so was not the worst 17 minutes of Kentucky football I have ever witnessed, well, it was at least in the discussion. Just an incredibly bad performance. Naturally, our vast advantages in skill and talent took over and we won easily, but wow, makes me feel uneasy about Stoops, for sure.

Biggest thing to learn is we need a true defensive coordinator that can bring the same intensity and recruiting as Gran has the offense and Marrow recruiting.

Then we could have a full time head coach.

This was very reminiscent of the EKU game. These are teams that should not normally be on the same field as UK. Yes, we're not Bama but we have SEC scholarship athletes. These other schools may have some good talented guys who didn't make grades but these are mostly guys who couldn't even get walkon status at UK.

These games are hard to get up for because there is such a talent discrepancy. I know everyone wants to get down on Stoops but you also have to think back to the games this year where the team comes out prepared and ready. In the 4 SEC wins this team came ready to play, but those are magically forgotten when a game like this comes up. Even Southern Miss, the team came out ready to play. The defense just wasn't there yet.

2017 is when we see what Stoops and this staff is all about. They've won 6 games when honestly, we should have 7. Nobody would have expected 7 wins(I predicted 7 actually as a few others did) but we won every SEC game we as fans thought we 'could' win. 4-0 in 'possible wins'. 4-4 in SEC play is a very big deal, regardless of how much we know the East is below par right now.
