How many characters from the "Andy Griffith" show (regulars) appeared in episodes of the "Gomer Pyle" USMC show? Don't need names -just number to keep it single answer. OFC
This is the hardest question of the year. I've seen every Andy Griffith twenty times and every Gomer Pyle at least twice. But I don't know. There was the awful episode in which Opie tried to join the Marines. Definitely Andy and Opie in that one. I think Aunt Bea was in that one. I suspect Cousin Goober made an appearance. Bit players like Allen Melvin and Ronnie Schell made so many crossover appearances. Three is taken so I guess Four
ged you get the GOLD! 4 is correct! Andy and Opie were both in the "running away from home story.," Also, Goober and Aunt Bea both made visits to Camp Henderson in hilarious episodes. Finally, when Gomer visits Mayberry on leave, he sees all 4. Exactly skysdad. I bet there were at least six overlapping minor characters. Sgt. Hacker on Gomer Pyle played a tough guy with different names on Andy Griffith. He was in the gang that stole Barney's car and he wanted to beat up Barney because he received a ticket for sweeping trash into the street

Well the fairy tail says "Nod", so can I assume that's what Opies named it?
Yep, Clairese......Also known as Bertha, then Clara on Andy Griffith. Miss Johnson, then Miss Edwards.....I didnt include her as a regular, as she was in more of a fringe role on the show.
Hacker (Allen Melvin) was also an escaped convict on AG, Millie's ex boyfriend from Mt. Pilot who threatened Howard (episode where Sprague went Tyus "Stones"), and an Army officer who kicked out Ernest T Bass during an entrance physical. Oh yeah, he was a house detective in a swanky Chicago hotel, when Andy and Barney went to the Windy City.
