One of the Husker trolls said before the game that Washington would probably not start for almost every B1G team. His stat line for Saturday was 8 catches, 97 yards, which would project out to a 12 game season total of 96 catches, 1164 yards.
He also blocked well (without holding) downfield.

Somehow, I think he might start on a few teams besides Northwestern!

During BTN's press day interview with NU players back in July, they were asked who was the next breakout star for NU. Skoronski answered it was Malik Washington.

I didn't realize he was near 100 yards. That is really encouraging!

He made great adjustments on poorly thrown balls behind him. Hillinski needs to hit him in stride better and we can get some big plays!

That 40-yarder in the third quarter was pretty big - lots of yards after contact. Also his juggling catch that almost went for a TD. Lots of big plays.

Faked the dude out of his drawers for an extra 25 yards and huge momentum swing!
