One thing that left me scratching my head was that he was not in the game on the last couple of plays of the winning drive [I am pretty sure it was Jennings and Sills (of course)]. Given his two great catches in the end zone, I would have thought he'd be in the game at crunch time. Was Holgorsen ever asked that question?
Shows what experience can do. Durante has the athletic ability that Shorts just doesn't have which is why he played so much and was considered our second best guy. However, Durante wasn't as good with route running and definitely did not have as sure hands as Shorts. With experience, Durante should develop into a beast at the WR spot. I like Shorts (JR), Gibson (SO), Durante (FR), White (SO), and Jennings (FR) as a core group of WR's going into next season.
