...I’ll try and start something interesting.

How old are you and what age do you think you’ll die? And what will you die from?

Wade Wilson died today. He was a notable sports figure. He played in the NFL for numerous years in the early 80’s until he retired/was cut in the early 90’s.

The interesting thing is he died on his birthday suddenly at age 60.

I’m guessing the chances of dying on your birthday at age 60 suddenly is very slim.

I’m 49...they say you’re as old as you feel, so that makes me 97. Death could come at any time from any number of causes...I’ll go when it’s time to go, I guess

I am 38. I feel great more or less. I'm a little overweight 6'1" 230, but I work out 4 or 5 days a week so I stay fit. Don't take any meds yet, never had a cavity, haven't eaten any sweets in 3 years now and dont plan on ever eating them again. I feel like I got at least another 38 in me.

Dad is still alive at 62, but both my grandfather's died in their 70's. My mom's father had Parkinson's, but he farmed his whole life and was around fertilizer and pesticide which they say causes it. My dad's father had an intestinal lesion that just caused him to go from healthy to dead really quickly.

I guess I am not sure when I will die, but they day when I am physically unable to go out and at least play 9 holes of golf no matter the quality of play is the day I won't be living anymore.

61 and slightly over weight, 5'9" 208 LBS. Missing a few teeth but, just took impressions for an oral surgeon and will be getting implants put in over next few months. Work out 6 days a week from 45 minutes to an hour on those days. Eat pretty much what I want but am now doing it in less proportions than before.

My biological father (not seen since I was 6) was 89 when he passed just a few months back. Mother passed April 3rd 2012. I figure I will die when the good Lord wants me home.

Interesting stuff.

My New Years resolution was to cut out four foods.

1. Bread
2. Rice
3. Pasta (This is the one that I crave the most)
4. Potatoes

It’s just the beginning of February, but I’ve gotten thru a month without these four foods.

I’ve also restarted my T-25 program. When we moved to Lexington in August, I got really distracted with everything going on with the move, I quit exercising.

I gained 30 pounds from August until New Years.
I think the reason I gained 30 pounds was because I was drinking tons of beer, eating tons of food, and I wasn’t moving around much. Probably a recipe for gaining 30 pounds.

Now, I’ve switched from 12-15 craft beers a day, to 3-4 craft beers, and now I’m drinking 8-9 Mich Ultras instead, and then just a couple of Bourbons....I know, it’s a crazy sacrifice, but that’s what I have to do if I want to live another 10 years or so.

Jerry is helping.

43, dead at 62

I’ve noticed a lot of fatties going into the Y a lot and a year later they are even fatter. What’s up with that?

  • Got inspired by this thread and went out and ran three miles (plus my wife signed us up for the half-marathon in Louisville)
  • Split times were 9’22, 8’47 and 8’22. I did not have another 8’22 in the tank. Pretty solid since I haven’t been running. Would like to run the half at a 9’30 pace.
  • Need to get down to 185 for this thing (and life in general)
  • I lift a lot, just need to add a lot more cardio

I’ll be 62 in April. A good friend who’s 63 told me he ask the SSA could you provide me with an expiration date. My dad died at 68, my mom outlived him 19 years and went at 85. I’ll split the difference and say 76/77, the latter I believe the avg age of males in America. Of skin cancer. I’ve spent my entire adult life in the two states which have the highest incidence among us whites, New Mexico and Colorado. I weigh what I did at 19, my cholesterol and blood pressure are great, I’m fanatical in managing my diet, I take not a single prescription drug, and have always been active, so it’s my pale, fair skin that will kill me.

Bread! Eliminate that one thing and you will lose weight even if your sedentary. Sugar to. The other 3 I eat though long brown rice and whole wheat pasta. Potatoes are well a staple, the key is not to smother them in butter, sour cream, cheese which I avoid, and of course bacon. Don’t eat out either because they smother everything in cheese and bacon these days. Even a good steak.

52. 5'9" 165. Work out 3-4 days a week. In good shape I think. Can't believe that 52 years have passed in my life. As far as dying, IDK. Man I wish I knew. I feel like I'll be that guy who ends up in some freak accident. Maybe I'll be attacked by a pack of wild dogs. Or get eaten by a bear. I could
Go out by taking a machete in the gut while leaving Wal-Mart at night. ( I hope I'm not raped to death )
Anyway I guess I'll have to wait and find out............
I'll keep you guys posted.

Cancer or heart attack ain’t “natural causes”. That old woman who threw that “heart of the ocean” rock into the canal—THAT’S natural causes. No one effing dies at 55 of natural causes. “Complications from” is a cause

53, 5’ 10”, 205. Health is generally good, but probably about 20 lbs too heavy. I haven’t been under 200 in about 3 yrs.

Dad is 82, Mom is 80. Three of my four grandparents lived to at least 88.

I might live to be a 100+, or could pass away later today/tomorrow. I’m all for living as long as I can as long as my health is good.

I am 40 and didn't think I would make it this far. My wife will kill me. Not sure how yet, but if I quit posting, she did it.
