The big guy in the middle. Page has the physical tools but not sure he’s a true center. There’s a reason why he’s bounced around and never been able to capitalize on his obvious gifts.

Would like to see a Page display a mean streak and play tough BigTen ball. If the staff can get him playing hard and smart, it will go a long way to NU having a big season.

You have to feel good about Brian James' record developing big men as well as our competitive depth. We have the framework in place for him to play a solid 25 minutes and not going beyond his known skills (finishing around the rim, hitting the occasional open 3, disrupting on defense).

AP has the best offensive skills that I have seen in an NU center in recent years. However , he cannot solely rely on his 6'11" to rebound. He has to improve his positioning, that requires an aggressive mindset. Dererk Pardon was only 6'8" but a very good rebounder because he knew how to block out his opponent. Wes Unseld was only 6'8" but was a dominant NBA rebounder, as was Charles Barkley. ( Granted both of the above had different builds than AP) I hope NU can help AP develop his all around game because the potential is there

Thus leading to one of the greatest nicknames of all time: the Round Mound of Rebound.

Met his father tonight, Found out that when he was at USC, he had Mono all through Oct and had to stay isolated in his room and he lost 15 lbs during that period. It really set him back and that USC class was outstanding so it put him behind everyone. Watched him tonight and he was really outstanding (including hitting a 3)
