Pretty easy to see why no one wants to work for this guy. What a piece of ****. Fire Kraft yesterday.
Things just get worse and worse. He has to be fired. This is so unprofessional. He is profane and panicked. Do we think Campbell or anyone for that matter will wanna work for a guy like this?? Did the athlete that recorded and leak it do it to sabotage Kraft! We are in 2012 darkness.

I am as profane and impossible to offend as anyone I know, and I would NEVER talk to a group of kids (college or otherwise) like that. There is zero chance that any of the players have any respect for that guy. And it wasn't just the profanity. It was the way he disrespected CURRENT PLAYERS (wide receivers, Deluca). He sounded like someone on the gameday thread from this forum! I couldn't possibly do a better job of killing the morale of the team if I tried. He has to go.
The level of dysfunction and incompetence displayed by this university is beyond the pale. It will be years before the Good Ship Penn State ever gets righted. If there was ever an institution that needed an utter and complete house cleaning it is Penn State University.
This is all so bush league and disgusting. That people would gleefully cheer whatever dirtbag recorded and leaked this audio so YouTubers can fap to 'content' is simply unreal. They need to find whoever leaked this and boot him from the team. This is cutting off your nose to spite your face. Franklin has agents all over this program and they need to be weeded out and removed. Full stop. Some swearing in a locker room is now a must listen? Spare me. Clowns.
Profanity aside (which was unnecessarily excessive because he sounded ridiculous) , so much of what he said was not motivating or helpful. Would you want your kid to be on the receiving end of this? Would you talk like this to a groups of students?? It was a panicked profane rant that does nothing to motivate or encourage the athletes. And why was it recorded and leaked other than to do anything but undermine Kraft?. This could cost us getting Matt Campbell.

I would normally be very critical of recording and leaking something like this too. But I look at it as a cry for help. Kind of a "look at this absolute nonsense we are dealing with here" type of thing from the players. This Kraft is so toxic and so much of a cancer, drastic measures were needed. Fire Kraft.
In this day and age I have to question if this audio is real or is it AI made? I didn't listen to it but reminds me of a time over a decade ago when an interim AD laid into the team and talked down to them about playing in a bowl game during another time when we had an interim coach.

I just went back and listened to the whole thing. Though I believe it should not have been leaked, i think the reason behind it is he is lying about Terry Smith ( I don’t think Terry was ever the best candidate , or who I wanted) . I know it was still edited, but since this was prior to Rutgers, it sounded to me that Pat Kraft was there to get the players to stop flashing “ “ Hire Terry Smith “ signs. As part of that , he continually talks about Terry is doing it right now, and is definitely a strong candidate. Though I don’t think he was inspiring, professional, or a leader, he did convey that message. He also trashed VT’s recruiting class, and athletes. Fast forward 2 weeks, and he is on plan z, Terry Smith is obviously not a candidate, he gave up a recruiting class for a double, not a home run, had the double turn him down, and he is leaving the team with no vision or future, nor the showing the ability to get someone who can. Should not have leaked, but it feels like a frustrated athlete who is going portal, and wants the fans to understand how bad Kraft is.
It's funny that this clown Kraft comes off so incredibly badly, that it (understandably) makes you think it has to be fake. Sadly, I'm pretty sure it's real.

Im struck by just the tone of this struggle session. Its basically the players laying out all their insecurities about the program and Kraft trying to tell them they dont have to play second fiddle to anyone. "Awwww we dont have a big city near us like columbus". Maybe that was the point of this meeting, to get all the warts on the table? Just weird all the way around, totally unsurprising that these guys came up short and nervous for big games. They dont have faith in themselves and where they are. Just so so strange for a program and current team that really has had a lot of success. I for one appreciate Kraft at least trying to breathe some confidence into these guys.
There are absolutely people at Penn State, in the locker room, and on this board with an obvious agenda. Some we can and should do something about; others need to be called out for it.

Several months ago, I spent at least 4 hours on the phone with Xfinity (didn't get situation resolved to my satisfaction), then this week spent at least 2 hours only to find out that a new issue I have is Xfinity's fault (they admitted it and are trying to fix their website). I said to my wife that Xfinity is at the top of my list for dysfunctional and incompetent organizations, but Penn State's Admins are narrowing the gap!
This bothers me to no end. He always seems to be hanging out on sidelines and talking to coaches and players. He does it for multiple sports. I get it that he’s passionate and wants to feel like he’s part of the “team” but he needs to GTFO. There needs to be a separation.

After that, it was clear that Kraft is not mentally capable of having such a plan. Hopefully, he has lucked into hiring Matt Campbell. If Campbell does agree to be our next coach, Kraft needs to be shown the door as soon as the ink is dry. That guy is poison to the university. He has absolutely no idea how to read a room, and he doesn't have any understanding of the institution that he represents.

I've been through boot camp, deployments and been a factory manager, and I doubt Kraft has done any of that.

If I was Kraft, I would probably not go to many away games next year. He has provided bulletin board material to a lot of schools. I imagine he would get a ruder greeting in those stadiums than he would from a home stadium full of "JoeBots".

No the problem is that so many posters and fans continue to make excuses for Kraft’s bungling of the coaching hire. First it was Sexton; now it’s Jay and Anthony Lubrano. None of them are excuses for Kraft’s failures.
I guess the all powerful Jay failed if PSU is going to hire Campbell. Lavar's rantings are radio fodder. Nothing more.

No one ... or I should say ... the large majority of people aren't ... holding JoePa responsible for anything related to Sandusky. It's just that, simply put ... it happened. It happened when Joe was there. It happened during that era. We're not going to go back and try to white wash that era. We're not going back and reliving that era. We're not focusing on honoring that era. We're acknowledging the good that was done ... we're acknowledging the bad that was done, and we're moving forward.
The JoeBots want to be stuck in time, and focus their attention on one figure.
And that's unproductive, generally ... but now they've become truly loathsome creatures. Since they didn't get their way, they're now trying to sabotage the present and future. They want the power to make decisions, based on their attachment to that era. So they're trying to undercut anyone and everyone that doesn't bow down at the altar of JoePa.
So, for instance, where I was once fed up with Kraft, I now almost feel bad for the guy, because he has these honorless a-holes to force his hand, and pick the next coach for him ... and if they don't get their way, well, then ... let's leak his failures, and then that may compound his failures ... and, look at that, we can force him out and get a guy we want, who will listen to us, in that role.
That's, essentially, their play ... try to get who they want in each decision-making role ... and if they can't do that, sabotage who does get that role, so they can try again.
Eff their completely lacking in honor, completely lacking success worthless selves. Go away. Form JoePa University and revere him however you want. Leave Penn St. alone. You aren't wanted. That means, you, too, mooching, begging Barry.
