Is there a way to add to our profiles/signature lines a way to designate our preferred pronouns?

Him/He/His

Etc?

We just started doing this at work in company emails and I really think this place should get with the times. It should be mandatory where you can't post until you've selected your preference.

About to jump on another work call....be back in 30 minutes.

I may be ignorant regarding the OP. How am I supposed to answer this question (for the informed) or have empathy in the real world? Can someone help me out?

Everyone on The Blue Lot is referred to as He, whether they are or not. Just ask @BarbieQdCouch , @Orlaco and @Raven Shaddock .

i get the intent but this place is the ultimate sausage factory. It is like 3000-1 dudes to ladies.

I can only think of a few lady posters that are active and part of the inner circle here so to speak.

Having seen many of the op’s previous posts I tend to think this was a joke. But my alcohol intake, coupled with these crazy times has rendered my common sense utterly useless.

Apparently many on this board have never heard as to why Jordan B. Peterson is a world wide phenom.

Yeah. Pass on the YouTube philosopher. I don’t need someone to reinforce my manhood. Sounds like a bunch of dudes are getting yelled at by their wives a little too much.

“Mr. Peterson, 55, a University of Toronto psychology professor turned YouTube philosopher turned mystical father figure, has emerged as an influential thought leader. The messages he delivers range from hoary self-help empowerment talk (clean your room, stand up straight) to the more retrograde and political (a society run as a patriarchy makes sense and stems mostly from men’s competence; the notion of white privilege is a farce). He is the stately looking, pedigreed voice for a group of culture warriors who are working diligently to undermine mainstream and liberal efforts to promote equality.”

So what you are saying is you never read his book or watch a single clip of his and relied on the opinion of a Libby who completely missed the point as to his original rise to fame by opposing a bill in Canada called C16 that would have required speech of selected pronouns on threat of fine and/or imprisonment if not uttered.
Gotcha...lol

I’m sorry your wife treats you like **** and you’re force to go to YouTube to find someone who says you’re good enough, smart enough and that someone likes you.

keep up Junior, you spend to much time here and not enough time learning. I know personal responsibility takes a back seat to group responsibity in your world...how’s that working in NYC. Only 7 shot in Crown Heights last night...gettin better at least.

I'd too like for it to be a pull down menu where you can select the correct answer........... and the ability to edit it at any time, should things change.

We should also institute "social awareness points" where if you call someone by the wrong pronoun, you are given social awareness warning points - so we can quickly identify the posters who we know aren't trying to make this an inclusive place.

I identify as someone well endowed. I’m making my wife start calling me “The Hammer”.
