A thought popped into my head. Anybody remember Je'lon Hornbeak?

He was in the recruiting class with Hield and Cousins. Got his nose out of joint because he thought he should have been playing more. Transferred out. Now he's at Monmouth. Averaging maybe 14 minutes a game and a starter who got suspended this month for "conduct detrimental to the team."

I don't suppose a guy like that has regrets for moving on.But just in case it crossed your mind ...

BCS, love your posting. But since you're striving for perfection, you need to spell Buddy's last name correctly. H I E L D.

That's a rule follower. I before E, except after C. Now that he's a likely All American, we need to get that one right.

Well I'll be damned I've probably been spelling his name wrong a whole lot. Not because I'm unfamiliar with grammar but for reasons unknown.

Correction noted. Won't let it happen again.

Gracias mi amigo.

I can't remember which poster it was, ten years ago, but there was a pretty common word that I used a lot and always misspelled. Curious.

Kept putting two r's in it. Still thankful he corrected me. Spell check's weren't so reliable back in the day. I had thought this morning that I would post a thread today with that in the heading because Buddy's last name gets misspelled so often. You just presented a better opportunity.

It used to be the same way with OUr quarterback and OC prior to 2015. It gets misspelled all the time. No L at the end or several other ways. Anyhow, when it comes to our best players, when I can actually remember their names, I like to get the spelling correct, and hopefully in conversation, the same with their pronunciation.

My comment was going to be similar, Plaino...Those unusual 'H' names give me fits! I reverted to simply 'Josh', early on, rather than spell check myself every time I wanted to mention him...

Now that I think about it, it might have been ST.

Don't know what I did, but I'm sure you're right...I'm guilty. When it comes too spelling, while I was a spelling champ in elementary school, my poor spelling has retrained my auto speller to have the intelligence of a 1st grader. ;)
