I'm embarrassed for both schools.

Just like I'm embarrassed for the Heroes Trophy sitting in Iowa City.

At least the chair is wood and has a chance to burn.

They're nothing alike. The chair developed organically, the way trophies should. The fact that it looks so lame is part of the appeal.

Love this trophy as it wasn't forced between two schools. It was just created and lots of players and coaches seem to support it.

IN ADDITION, I'd like to state that most of the best Big Ten trophy games come from goofy backgrounds like this. Floyd of Rosedale, Paul Bunyan's Ax, even that stupid grown jug all have funny, interesting backstories. This one feels like it belongs. The "Heroes Trophy" feels like corporate b.s. grafted on to Big Ten tradition.
