There were conversations last weekend about what this season will look like.

I really think we are looking at more AA’s this year. Will that translate into a team trophy?

125, 41 (if he can get his weight down and conditioning right after the layoff,) 49, 65 and 74 are strong AA contenders.

84, 97 and 285 are guys that I think we AA two of three. I’ll lay odds Doucet gets it done this year!

But in reality, all 10 AA!

Counting Figs out is crazy. You mention every weight but 33 and 57. Leaving 33 out is wild

Well, I’d like to see him at 33 and that’s a weight that may not be settled until after the break I think.

Rin is crazy fast and can score. Figs is a crafty veteran with talent. Hughes, can he get there? JJ is doing well.

I’m just saying that’s a hard one peg right now. Lots of competition in the room!

Hughes making 133 consistently and being productive would be good to see.

Jax would probably be an AA and national champion threat walking into a college room right this moment, but I hope he enjoys his last year of high school and as much of “being a kid” as he can get before he comes to Stillwater. There’s plenty of time for dethroning the Penn State dynasty in the future😉

I think a team trophy going to be really tough this year. We are more competitive across the board but young and I don’t think we will score nearly as much. Doucet might AA but he’s not scoring a bunch of bonus, and there are others that need time and improvement. I just hope people don’t get down if we lose a couple of duals and finish. 6th or something because the future is bright.

Yeah I'm optimistic of course but 125 is the only weight that's staying the same as last year. Maybe 141. Bunch of new faces is exciting but there will likely be some head scratching losses. Or, maybe there won't be.

Jax is not being a kid! He is wrestling full-time and going to high school, traveling back and forth to train. He is amazing, but no way would he be a lock at NCAAs.

All due respect but I find it hard to believe that a kid who took 5th at his first senior on world championships at 18 years old wouldn’t at least finish in the top 8 at NCAAs.

Why would we want him to skip his senior year in college. We are not in the running for a national championship this year regardless of whether or not he comes. We need to look to the future and not rush what will be a great career for Jax.
I’m in favor of him staying in school.

Selfishly, I want OSU to have the 1st ever, undefeated 4xer at 4 different weights.

Not saying that isn’t possible if he comes in January, but I like the idea of maturity assisting in it.

Also, that young man is searching out people to bang with.

He wants to be the best, test the best and Wrestle the best.

So I also get it from his perspective.

Jax turns 19 in a few days, not sure what he has to prove in HS anymore, but some 14 year old freshmen will be telling his kids about it someday.
