I’m not saying you are wrong, but to play devil’s advocate here, did you ever question Joe when he said a disciplinary matter was handled internally? Most didn’t, that’s why I ask. Why is Franklin held to a different standard?

Joe took plenty of disciplinary action so when he didn't (R Casey) I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm probably forgetting when Franklin did the same but this and Theo Johnson Carter this year makes me wonder. I could be wrong.

You’re overlooking the part where he got caught doing this. I drove 60 in a 45 many times going to work right after I got my license. One time a cop caught me, pulled me over, and I got a ticket. That’s pretty much what has happened here. He did something illegal, caused a police response to it, and now will have some sort of consequence.

If I remember correctly, there were a handful of players during Joe’s tenure that got into trouble and were lightly disciplined. But because he said it was handled internally, we all gave him the benefit of the doubt. A player tossed a bouncer down steps at The Crowbar, a player throwing a kid through a window at a frat party, a player being accused of “sexual misconduct” (however you interpret that?), a few players barging into an apartment party to beat the snot out of a kid who disrespected their teammate and his girlfriend. There are plenty. I just think Franklin deserves the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. He’s tossed a few kids off the team since he got to PSU. He isn’t blind to discipline.

I’m not overlooking anything. You are right. That’s the point I was trying to make. He’s a 18-20 yr old kid and he is facing the consequences of his actions. We (the grown adults here - using that loosely with some here) aren’t really in a position to be self righteous and judge him beyond that. It’s not that big of a deal. Some need to let it go.
