AC playing for 6th State Championship of the decade

Aurora Christian just won their semi-final baseball game 13-8 over Ottawa Marquette and will play for the Class 1A State Championship tomorrow in Peoria. If victorious, it will be the 6th State Championship for AC of the decade.

2011 - Football Class 3A
2012 - Football Class 3A
2014 - Girls Track Class 1A
2014 - Boys Track Class 1A
2018 - Wrestling Class 1A

But I just got a case of deju vu with this post. Eerily familiar to your post on the wrestling and basketball success that kicked off the dumpster fire thread!!

I am peaking over my shoulder....don’t see “him” anywhere though!

AC did it. They won the State Championship. So happy for the boys, coaches, families and school. This is a young team losing just 3 senior starters. They may be back again next year.

During the regular season, AC defeated Marmion, St. Francis, Lake Park, IC. Their only two losses were vs. West Aurora and Harvest Christian Academy (who they also beat twice - once in regular season, once in Sectional Championship).

AC is on a roll. I know they are still trying to win the elusive boys basketball State Championship. This will be a goal in the upcoming season. Also looking to repeat in Wrestling and Baseball. The football team will be in class 1A this year and a Championship may be within reach there, also.

FYI, I "blocked" you know who so I cannot see anything he posts. Not sure if he is able to see my posts or not. Unsure how that works.

The Dumpster Fire thread was epic. Too bad Edgy flushed it. I suppose it was only a matter of time...

I would bet a school like Hinsdale Central with all the Lacrosse, Golf, Tennis, etc They won 8 state championships just in 2014.
