I want to say this good ole boy from Pendleton County charged me about $80 for a new capacitor. The old one worked but was reading low. Since only my wife was home at the time I went for it anyway on my 11 year-old Goodman unit. I called him to do a spring checkup in May so I got both a cleaning and a cap for under $200. I can deal with that and it sure feels great this weekend.

Much better than the 1k an hour labor rate I paid.

I didn't know this guy and had just been raped by my HVAC guy who charged me $1300+ for a new variable speed blower. So I called around. My plumber recommended him. After working with one company for 25 years, I am so done with them!

When it rains it pours. Our Kitchen Aid fridge went out in June but it was still under warranty so we got it replaced after 5 1/2 years. Luckily for just the bill of the original service call.
