He looked at Askew and said, yeah, I can beat him out. Here he looked at Lowe, Johnson, Oweh and Aberdeen and said, "mmmmmm, I gone."
The kid would be a starter here before SEC play starts if he had stayed a Cat. He is much better than you are giving him credit as a basketball player. He has a lot of dog in him. I agree that his Dad is FOS but the kid is OK.

Did anyone tell him Jay Wright retired?
I'm quite sure that Kevin Willard (son of former UK Assistant Ralph Willard) was recruiting Lewis when Willard was the head coach at Maryland (next door to Lewis, who was in D.C.). Makes sense to me that Lewis would move to Villanova, now that Kevin Willard has taken the Villanova job.

Too bad for Acaden Lewis that he did not have the same confidence about him winning the starting PG position as you do. When Pope sought additional commitments for UK's backcourt, Lewis folded like an umbrella.

Askew is a decent player now. I would say this is about as good a backcourt as nova could wish for
Long Beach was awful but Askew put up solid numbers. 19,4, and 4 shooting 37% from 3 point range. I agree Willard has put together as solid a backcourt as they could ask for. It is not the Jay Wright backcourts, but as good as I would think they could get right now.

Let's see how this young buck does competing for PG minutes against 38 year-old Devin Askew.
