Those guys are struggling too and it’s not like Lowe hasn't had those numbers.

Lewis isn’t the answer to our problems, he would just be another guy on this team that is struggling.

This team has enough talent, it's just broken and the coach doesn't know what to do to fix it.

yes but i feel like its

1. this team is more talented than our record, which is called underachieving which is on POPE

2. i do think the EASY (maybe not under cmp) solution is to pump in talent to cover up for coaching mistakes, but at that point then its back to cal ball

Somehow out of all the freshman that comitted to us, the best one isnt even on our team bc pope wanted to pay 3 mil for aberdeen
That’s not what happened, man. You have to use chronological logic here. First, Pope told Lewis he was going to be the backup and learn from an upperclassman PG. we went all-in on Donovan Dent and he wanted to stay home. Pope pivoted to Lowe. Lewis didn’t like it because Lowe had more than one year of eligibility remaining. Rather than competing and earning the spot, the COWARD went to Villanova. Aberdeen came after and had nothing to do with it.

No. He was always planned to be backup in year 1 and be prepped to run the show in year 2. Kid is weak as hell and I wouldn’t care what stat line someone posted — someone afraid to compete can’t handle running the show at this school. It’s a down year but it’d have to be a lot worse than this for me to want that coward representing my school.

There's always non-talent & skill issues involving character that a coach has to figure out that fans can't see, but as far as impact on UK winning, from a skill and a multi-year standpoint, Lewis was my favorite high school PG recruit last year. I wouldn't mind UK plucking him out of the portal.

Jasper could possibly be thriving under another coach, I suspect we'll find out next year as I don't personally see him sticking around Kentucky another year with Pope
KY till I die unless Coach doesn’t play me at all even during a historically bad start.

Lewis would be the best basketball player on this team from a basketball skills point. By far. He was arguably the best pg in that class it’s a reason all the blue bloods wanted him.

Lmao maybe if he had gained some weight and added some muscle. Isn’t gonna do jack until he does that. He is NOT strong enough.
Basketball helps to have muscle and all that but you can get away with being really skinny and weak if you are super talented. Gotta be good and have some aggression about your game. JJ just isn’t comfortable or aggressive enough.

IMO, Aberdeen is MUCH more efficient playing the 2. He just is NOT a 1. Can’t beat his man off the bounce and isn’t a good passer.
He’s not a 2 either. He can’t shoot.

He’s not big enough to play the 3 either.

He doesn’t have a position. He’s a less strong Oweh.

How anyone thought having 2 guys like that for a spread offense was a good idea is beyond comprehension.

I agree with both points, but Acaden Lewis isn’t it. Yeah, he had a good game against an awful Marquette tean, but has he done that against good competition?

He’s a career 35% 3 point shooter. Not great but not bad either.
He’s not shooting 35% here.

Are you saying he’s been coached down?

I’m messing with you there. He’s 34% here.

But he’s not a good shooter. Oweh is at 36%. He can’t shoot either.

Mashburn shot 36.7% from a closer (19'9") 3 pt line his junior year. Did you think he couldn't shoot?
