Don't have all the details, but appears they're going with a 10 game conference schedule, plus 1 non-conference game against an in-state opponent. Notre Dame is also participating, and allowed to play in the conference championship game (if they make it).

If true, then this would eliminate WVU's game with FSU, as well as eliminate the prospects of playing Pitt, Va Tech, etc., unless they were to make an exception. Definitely will help out teams like East Carolina, Old Dominion, Charlotte, Georgia Southern, and others among the G5 to help them fill out a schedule, assuming their conferences allow them to do so.

Also eliminates sPitt coming to Huntington to play the Turd. Hamrick better be making nice with Lyons ASAP and come to Morgantown.

Told you this a month ago..

Some ACC schools were going to make things uncomfortable if they couldn't get their games with the SEC.

40 schools
SEC, Big 12, ACC

The 40th being BYU.

WVU can figure out who they may play. Look at the schools who don't have a game scheduled.
This includes a few ACC schools

My question is this?
And it’s TOTALLY hypocritical cause I don’t think by November college football will be going on.

If Meat Chicken loses to the Worthless Nuts again and nobody is there to see it (cause MLB, nba, and even golf don’t have fans), will the Khakis be fired?

I'm also not shocked by what the ACC is doing-trying to follow the PAC & B1G examples . I imagine the Big XII will do something similar given there’s already a 9 game conference schedule.

Per the ESPiN/MSESPN article. Your OOC game must be in your home state. Which means USC can play Clemson, FSU and Miami can play Florida, and Georgia can play Georgia Tech. That leaves Pitt losing their OOC with Marshall and possibly a game with WVU.

Big 12 playing all their games?
If what was posted is true about ACC then we are already down 2 Games...MD and FSU.

Your AD is looking for replacements.
Expect something to come out in the next 10 days.

One of the replacements could be either an ACC school who doesn't have an OOC game of against a SEC school.

Keep an eye out for what the ACC does once they release their schedule. If Notre Dame is placed in the opposite division of Clemson, as well as not playing Clemson in one of the divisional crossover games, then they're making a strong effort to have two undefeated teams playing for the ACC conference title game, with the hope of sending two teams to the CFB playoffs.

There is only going to be one division. Hopefully this will somehow back ND into a corner and force them to join the ACC full time.

ACC Football:
  • The season’s first games will take place the week of Sept. 7-12
  • The 2020 scheduling model includes 11 games (10 plus one: 10 conference and one non-conference)
  • All non-conference game opponents, selected by the respective school, must be played in the home state of the ACC institution, and all non-conference opponents must meet the medical protocol requirements as agreed upon by the ACC
  • The 11 games will be played over at least 13 weeks with each team having two open dates
  • There will be one division
  • Notre Dame will also play a 10-game conference schedule and be eligible to compete in the 2020 ACC Football Championship Game
  • All television revenue for the 2020 season, including Notre Dame’s home games broadcast by NBC, will be shared equally by all 15 institutions
  • The ACC Football Championship Game will be played on either December 12 or 19 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, and will feature the top two teams based upon highest conference-game winning percentage
  • All 15 teams will continue to be part of the ACC’s bowl selection process; should Notre Dame win the ACC Football Championship Game they would be eligible for the Orange Bowl, if not selected as a College Football Playoff semifinal team
  • The 2020 ACC Football week-by-week schedule and television selections will be released in the future

Thanks for posting. Kind of the same thing though, if they don't have Notre Dame playing Clemson in the regular season. I doubt any of the other stiffs can beat Notre Dame.

If ACC is using plus one as in state then how

Probably not and this is why ND negotiated this deal. They know they can go the title game. But they will still be playing Clemson twice. They were already on ND schedule and at ND.
