I just don't like the way some Duke fans are whining about this (and I don't mean you Q). The schedule is the schedule. You play who you're supposed to play and let the cards fall where they may. I don't care how 'light' your schedule is on paper....if you go 16-2 or 15-3 in the ACC for a season, then you're a really good basketball team. Period.
You know what though, UNC doesn't need to apologize for the easy schedule. They've been blowing teams out of the water. They get all the credit they've earned. With that said, I would rather have the schedule and the adversity we've faced going into the NCAATs. I think that will serve us better than a bunch of blowouts against bubble teams.
Not in the ACC. 6 upper tier ACC teams on the road is greater than 2 upper tier ACC on the road. In your AFAM math class that is equal. Crowder gave you a B for your paper since you needed that to stay eligible. Bless your heart. Move along. It's UNC and Duke.
Both teams have played great schedules the entire year.
So you think it's fair?I just don't like the way some Duke fans are whining about this (and I don't mean you Q). The schedule is the schedule. I respectfully disagree. It has a significant impact on NCAA Tournament seeding.
The exact same thing happened in 2017. Even though we had more Top 25 wins, more Top 50 wins, beat Carolina 2 out of 3 and won the damn ACC Tournament, Carolina's easier conference schedule left them with a better regular season conference record and one fewer overall losses.
And look at the goddamn impact it had. We get stuck as a #2 seed playing South Carolina in a de facto home game for them in the 2nd round and get bounced. And Carolina uses that one seed all the way to a ****ing national championship.
This stuff matters. A more balanced schedule likely leaves Carolina with a couple of more losses, and if that's the case, they aren't even in the discussion for a #1 seed. As it stands, that and the Zion injury are jeopardizing a #1 seed for us. And four out of 5 of our national championships have come as a #1 seed. Again... it matters.
I may have to accept it but I sure as hell don't have to like it.

And you apparently can't read since my post said all season so you get an F in remedial English
Stop crying and win games....You haven't won a regular season title in years. So no matter the schedule you choke.
Round Robin doesn't get you ready for the tournament genius.
And you are a Duke fan talking about academics...stop it before the school's reputation is ruined...lol

The point isn’t whether it’s fair for Duke or uncheat. It’s like a 3rd grader puts the schedules together. It’s not fair for anyone in the league.Didn't say that. But, it wasn't fair last year, either, when it was us with the easier ACC schedule. We just didn't capitalize. UNC has this season.
It's not like UNC hasn't played a good schedule this season. Their conference schedule is lighter for sure, but last time I checked their overall SOS was still #3 in the country.

I agree with your final paragraph.Well, you can't play 28 conference games. That's more ridiculous than what is done now. Like I said, it is what it is....and it's likely not changing.
IMO, the easiest thing to do would be three, five-team divisions. You play the other four teams in your division twice, and every other team once for an 18-game schedule. But that's not perfect, either....because you're always going to have unbalanced divisions no matter what you do. And you know for certain, Duke and UNC have to be in the same division.
College basketball/conferences don't care about common sense. They care about money. And along with college football, college basketball is driven my money.
