ACCT Champ game

Anybody watching this? Carolina is falling apart. Had a solid 9 pt lead and ND just went on a 15-0 run in less than 3 minutes. 11 of those points came in 1:07.

I didn't think I would be able to watch this game but I was wrong. I couldn't stay away. Gotta. See. UNC. Lose.

Couldn't even watch any of it. Watched Bobby Hurley take Buffalo to their first ever Big Dance in Hurley's first ever year there and am walking my dog now following it a little on ESPN.com gamecast.

Sure didn't want Tarholes winning but watching out of state teams now take our title 4 str8 years wasn't exactly pleasing to me either. This sux, everyone knows this was our freakin Title!

Notre Dame is definitely a worthy champion. They have had a terrific year, and they played really great this weekend.

Incredible stat here:

ND 10-20 from 3, UNC 7-23...but the killer was ND 28-32 FTs, UNC 5-7.

I sure am not complaining but our game was strangely similar with ND being on the line and seemingly never missing and Duke barely doin anything or getting fouled much. Very interesting seeing how this is Tobacco Road, our home. Guess the refs enjoy every out of state team winning every year from now on.

Wake up the daggum echo's Tar Heels. Yeah you were 2nd. place and got farther than we did. You gonna hang a banner for that? Here's something you can start whining about. UNC free throws 5/7. ND 28/32. Go get Swofford to check into that. Looks like the Irish may indeed have a big pot of gold. Really there should be an investigation into this.

Yeah, I hate that we weren't playing tonight. I put my daughter to bed and came downstairs to see the Heels up eight and thought it was over. I let out the dogs and in the two minutes I was standing out on the deck ND went on an 11-0 run.

Happy for Mike Brey. He is an offensive mastermind, and his teams are always fun to watch. He gets killed for the defense ND plays, but you've got to hand it to him for having an excellent defensive plan against Duke. A classic case of the student schooling the teacher.

I'm the same way. Glad UNC lost but I still feel gross. The ACC title belongs somewhere else.

Interesting how Brey had to move to the ACC to accomplish this. I guess ND finally won a conference title because they are now in a league where the teams (outside of UVA) don't play such great defense, while the Big East was a gritty, defensive-minded conference.

Read what Kerseysay#1 or whatever his name is saying in the game thread about the refs as its really hilarious reading. That dude is filled with so much hatred towards everything imaginable, more hate than can be described. Never has he seen a game so ruined by the refs.

I watched the whole thing. Entertaining game. Thought Carolina had it when they were up by 8 in the second half, It just had that feeling to it. But what an incredible run by ND, the game turned around in an instant. Good job Irish!

Notre Dame's style of basketball better suits the ACC. Teams defend in the ACC, but it isn't near as physical as the old Big East.

Notre Dame is good. They earned this title.

That guy is certifiably insane. I have encountered some bitter, clueless, moronic individuals in my many days on this earth, and this guy has to be one of the worst.

Heyman, you know that had to gripe those Tar Heel butts! They had home court advantage...actually it was better than that because the fans at Greensboro were into the game much better than any Dean Dome crowd. And they still couldn't win the dang game.

You are exactly right, dirt. UNC probably had 21,000 fans to poor old ND's small crowd. Great victory for the Irish, and at least I don't have to listen to the butt holes from Carolina about winning the ACC. OFC
