Anyone? Not tickets sold but actual people. 15,000? Hats off to them. No way I would have done that
I was there. There was more than 15,000. Probably close to 30,000. That's somewhat impressive considering the opponent and weather. It was absolutely brutal out there. There was absolutely no participation from students at all. It didn't look like there was even 100 people in the student section.Anyone? Not tickets sold but actual people. 15,000? Hats off to them. 30,000 is being very generous...
The lower bowl didn't fill...and folks started emptying out soon after the first score...
miserable weather...not an exciting game...
this game should've been a noon kick...might not have helped the attendance because i don't know that people were going to show for this one regardless...but it was less miserable earlier in the day...
If you took all of the upper deckers and put them in the lower level, you might have filled the lower level pretty well. I'd put the attendance at around 25k before they deserted throughout the game. I deserted after JoJo's big run at the start of the 4th.
I've only left 3 games early in 22 years of having season tickets, but my son was sick and needed to leave.

Quoting another fan in a separate thread ref. the game forcast: "mostly dark with scattered seating"!!!!
I'm sure the H-L will open record request the actual number of scanned tickets, but who cares. Kudos to the fans that were there. I'm not a big fan of the SEC scheduling cream puffs the second to last week of the regular season, but in Kentucky's case, it was a much needed victory and some valuable experience. An earlier kickoff would have been nice and I kept wondering why they had so many TV timeouts because I'm sure no one was watching either and I can't believe companies were lining up to buy commercial time for this game.
My daughter attends and the students were missing because they had to move out of their dorms for Thanksgiving. They can't return until Sunday after Thanksgiving so they won't be at the UL game either. Great planning by the University

The only lower section that was really empty was the student section. Maybe 25,000. It emptied out when the rain/snow started. We left after the pick 6. No problem getting out of the silver lot and out of Lexington. That's the fastest I've ever made it back home.
The east end zone was totally empty by 3Q. But they had that gawd-awful wind in their faces. Maybe they moved around to the side. The north upper level was brutal, too.
I bet if you took a poll, 125,000 people would say they were there. It was special for sure.

And we know there are a lot of them. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:30,000? No way.
That has as much validity as guys who overestimate the size of their own genitalia. It's wishful thinking.
Indeed. But we were pretty loud for being so cold.
more than most Lil Brother games:chairshot:I was there as well. I couldn't see the press box upper deck but the other side had a lot more people than expected. I would lean more toward the 25-30k
