thats awesome. i hope he uses the trade for motivation.
and all the disrespect he has got in the last week
people act like luka is mj and davis is scrub.
luka is younger and tough as hell but put a lil respect on A.D.
I think it’s more the shock of trading Luka than anything to do with Davis. Never in the history of of the league has a team given up on a top 3 player in the league who’s not even in his prime yet.

I don’t know if the offense is better. NBA offense has always been great.

But the rules have changed so much to favor the offense.

No hand checking. The clear path rule. The euro step and step back shot used to be called traveling. Now they are part of the game.

It’s really hard to guard in the NBA without fouling. And they were already hard to guard.

People say MJ would average 50 today. And they might be right?

But he would have to change how he guarded too. Or he wouldn’t make it to halftime. MJ, and Scottie, relied on hand checking for their defense.

@celtikat33 if you're going to try and quote someone, at least make sure you do it accurately and in the correct format here on RR. The offense is not "a lot harder to guard" than it was 20 years ago.

It's a million times harder to guard then it was 20 years ago. People who say there's no defense in the NBA simply don't watch the NBA. Just because it's not physical defense like it was in the '80s doesn't mean there's no defense.

The defensive schemes and rotations are very complicated. The problem is guys take pull up half court shots and can hit them like they're nothing. This wasn't something you had to worry about 20 years ago.

The guy linked below actually has some really good stuff breaking down the strategy and schemes of modern defenses.

This injury might be kind of a decent one.. he already has the INJ tag in Yahoo Fantasy and anytime a player gets that designation that fast, it's not good.

Damn that’s crazy . I’ve had guys out back to back games not get that tag on them.

Im thinking.. it might be a precaution. Because you're right, I've never seen this before (lord knows I have to wait 3 consecutive games for MY guys to get the INJ tag..). How could they possibly know? And he got that INJ tag mid game.

But yeah, not good.
