Adding Men's Lacrosse

SMU has approved adding both men's and women's lacrosse. They will begin with women's because it will be easier to recruit and add men's in a few years .

NU could attract men because it is still a major sport in the affluent private Eastern Prep Schools , who could afford NU

Watch NC lacrosse in the future as they have a major donor that likely will fund attracting the best male and female players

My son has access to inside information on college lacrosse but I have not seen it officially announced either

I clarified the info. SMU has a donor that will help fund the program and may allow SMU to offer generous scholarship funding to jumpstart the program
I believe the number of allowed scholarships has been increased from 12.6 to 40 so the portal may see increased activity at some schools with money

Thank you for clarification. Yes, roster limit is 48 for men so max of 48 scholarships there, but I don't know of any programs that are are offering that many. Roster limit is 38 for women's lacrosse and UNC is best funded there (and may be fully funded).
