Mitchell at 489 again. Mount Airy at 509, Rosewood plummets, and Murphy is down. I will put up my final playoff projection when they update the rankings.
Well so much for the numbers I heard, guess it best just to be patient and wait for the official numbers.

Just a quick glace looks like it's between Hobbton (494) and Mitchell (489). Alot can change Friday night, and we haven't even got this week's rankings yet.
Should be today. As to exactly when, I don't know. But I will have the projection up as soon as the new rankings come in.
Using the top 48 in the last 10/28/19 adjusted rankings, the new ones should be out tomorrow. There are 24 above 500 ADM and 24 below 500. The highest above 500 Grandville Central @ 780 the lowest Union Academy & Union ( Rose Hill) 505. The smallest below 500 North Edgecombe @ 197 the largest two Hobbton 494 & Mitchell 489.
But # 47 Union (Rose Hill) 505 and #48 Riverside 515 both lost last Friday bringing them from 3-6 records to 3-7. While # 50 Albemarle 435 & # 52 KIPP Pride 402 won Friday bringing thier records from 3-6 to 4-6 so if they jump to #47 & #48 then you would have 22 teams ADM above 500 and 26 below. So I'll count again after the new adjusted rankings come out.

Old Mountaineer, there are 3 teams that will qualify that are outside of the top 48. Bear Grass Charter, East Carteret, and either East or West Columbus. So you have to look at the top 45...
Supposedly the new alignment has them in the Smoky Mountain Conference....I didnt even know they had an athletic program...
The only sports I have actually seen them participating in was Track but I believe they might have a golf team but that is it

Yep. That pushes Mitchell big, making them the small team in 1aa.
Yep. If Murphy wins, then they will get 2 homes games against Robbinsville. If the Knights win, it will effectively make it a home and home.
I think they also play soccer, at least girls soccer. When they get their new building, though, I bet they start to offer more. And when that happens I think they probably will eclipse Andrews and HDHS.
Also, East Surry is the easternmost team in the west. They could still go east if a couple of scenarios were to play out.

Pretty wild considering the first time Mitchell dropped to 1A in 2016 they were 506.

Because they are using the Adjusted Rankings to break a tie. No more drawing straws or coin flips.
Looking at the numbers as been mentioned looks like a lot of school numbers down this year. I don't know how it broke down last year but this year out of 72 1A schools..
