Did I miss this annual thread? Looking forward to rooting on some other team.

Nope. Only reason I didn't push this was because it's been hard to get out of Chicagoland on Friday nights with the whole CSNChicago deal....but please fire away suggestions

I was going to suggest the Hoopston Cornjerkers, but, sadly they play on Friday nights.

Not a small school like we have in the past but why not LWN in their last season. It's going to be emotional enough for the kids and the extra support would mean a lot.

I'd suggest Althoff - a 4A team with possibly the best collection of skill players - at least athletically - in state.

How about Joliet Central? Play some of their games on Saturday, have not won a game since they split athletic teams, head coach is a great guy and they could use all the support they could get!

South Elgin Storm. My very best friend in the world taught there, and coached tennis and golf. He died this past April at the age of 38. GO STORM!!!

As the team that beat Rochester, Althoff would still be a good choice to adoption for the 4A title. They have some elite athletes.
