Is the staff thinking about giving Alvaro minutes at the 5 similar to Carr this year? Maybe 20 & 5ish??

I think Dioubate will play mostly PF, but also some spot SF. We could have four different solid players on the floor at any given time at the 4: Williams, 6'8; Garrison, 6'10; Dioubate, 6'7; and if we get him, Alvaro at 6'9.

I think DO and Alvaro could absolutely coexist. I see us having three guys who can play C next year between Alvaro (small ball), Garrison, and Moreno, so there should be plenty of minutes to go around down low.

Pope is building a monster team next year.

We knew Chandler and Oweh were athletic, but Kam, Dioubate, and the freshmen guards all collectively upgrade the athleticism from last year's team. No knock on them, of course.

Add in Pierre or someone like that and again, Pope well have a monster roster. I feel like we'll have a lot more open looks from three next year.

If we add a couple still my lord we are gonna be deep. How you keep them all happy and coming back another year I don’t know though. Can do without a lot but really want a starting PF like Alvaro

We still want the entire portal! Sign them all!

LOL!

Seriously, I think we could still get Folgueiras, but I am not sure. Depends on how Pope wants to play.

I would think a 4/5 rotation like this would be ideal:

PF Folgueiras/Dioubate
C Garrison/Moreno

Then play Kam Williams as a small ball 4, when necessary.

I just can’t wrap my head around the wing rotation. We have a lot of bodies for the 2 and 3 spots and still looking at another shooter/scorer to add to it.

Christ just put Booker on ignore. He's got probably 25K posts here with his other usernames and every one of them is negative. Dude is either a troll or the most miserable person on earth.
You spend more time whining about me than you accuse me of about the team.

Absolutely!!!
I definitely don’t wanna hear from the people complaining about toughness, defending and rebounding all season. Don’t find something new to complain about —- Pope addressed your concerns emphatically.
There are some on this board that aren't happy unless their bitching. For them there was nothing Pope could do that would satisfy them. Some are trolls but some are so called Kentucky fans.

I asked the same thing in the Mo D thread I started. So does he start at the 3 or 4 and are we out on Alvaro. I hope he’s the 3 and AF comes and is the 4 or or here me out. Do you start Mo at the 4 and AF at the stretch 5.
Af starter
Mo D the bench but plays similar min as starter and has bigger offensive role

I like using Alvaro as a stretch 5 with the others. That would open ALL driving lanes

Idk where all these minutes are gonna come from.
You get 2 more and guys like Perry and Noah are going to be cigar guys. I like them both but just looking at the roster, if we end up with 13 or 14 guys we might just lose one of those 2 before the portal closes. If we get Alvaro and Yates, then I could see Perry leaving. I could also see Chandler leaving. Just a part of todays times.
