I made no comment on Brown’s record at WVU. It’s an amazing thing when you can project the results of games that were never played. How do you know WVU would of lost to a weak FSU? On the Oklahoma side, WVU lost to top 10 Oklahoma on their home field by 3 last year. Tell us how close was Holgersen was in beating Oklahoma in Norman? I’m sure you wore out the carpet praying that Oklahoma would pull that one out and upstage your hero Holgersen. So with a bye week and playing in Morgantown, no wonder Riley and the Sooners got the sniffles and postponed the game to even up the advantage that year. The best game that a Holgersen coached WVU team gave Oklahoma was with Bill Stewart’s players.

Its not a stretch to know Brown would have lost because he has been terrible every year - losing overall record, losing record vs fbs, losing conference record, losing record vs. winning programs. It’s been terrible for WVU football. FSU wasn’t worse than WVU that year. - they just weren’t their old self- but still took down a very good UNC team. Brown defeated exactly one fbs team with a winning record that regular season. You still can’t justify Brown being retained, yet continue to make up nonsense excuses and create imaginary wins for him when the evidence of reality doesn’t support any of that.

The FSU team that season did win at FSU over UNC. It was one of their only THREE whopping wins that year. The other two were vs Jacksonville State and that National (basketball) contender Duke. The rest of the year FSU was stomped by the following list of annual playoff contenders:
Miami 52-10
NotreDame 42-26
Louisville 48-16
Pitt 41-17
NC State 38-22
Color me unimpressed as well as that UNC team that showed how powerful they were out of the ACC and were spanked by Texas A&M in their bowl game.

Soon as Brown is gone and his apologists stop attacking the former staff to excuse away Browns failures- a staff which won more games than anyone but Nehlen, then it’s not happening.
