Finals now less compelling.
Will still be thinking about the injustice of it all.
The lack of common sense and decency .
The artificial imposition of non existent rules to cheat kids out of a once in a life time opportunity.
Arrogant & incompetent refs --gutless bureaucrats.
If this is one of the best crews god help us all in a just plain regular season game.

I do know from here on if I'm coaching I have assistant who carries a rule book .
And I have an IHSA board member on speed dial when I reach the playoffs.

Just not quite the same level of anticipation & excitement.
And to those of you that would make this a private/public issue I'd feel the same if the roles were reversed.
They're kids and the deserve the opportunity when they've earned it.

Wow. "injustice", "the lack of decency", "cheating kids". The ref blew a call Gaelman, nothing more, that's it. Shame on you... I guess you are perfect. Maybe a visit to Aleppo is in order to put things in perspective.

No didn't "blow a call". Invented a whole new rule that doesn't exist. An experienced crew whose only job is to know and apply the rules.
Cheated kids out of their one opportunity to compete for a state title.
Yes imo injustice and a lack of decency.

Shame on you for bringing heartbreaking things like Aleppo to a high school football board. No comparison.

While we agree to disagree I wish you and yours a happy and joyous holiday .

Cheats happen on purpose. How DARE YOU accuse these officials of doing this on purpose you ***.

It was a mistake. A horrible, unintentional mistake.

You should go back to protesting the election

Settle down bunky don't get your panties in a bunch.
Sure as hell DID cheat the Fenwick kids out of the opportunity to play in the title game.
Mistake, incompetence, too arrogant to check the rule book ? Whatever it was the team that won the game by the rules in regulation was denied the opportunity.

This is a high school football board --remember?

Have an IHSA official in the press box during playoff games for situations like this.

Because you put the one up in the box with the rule book and they have the time to look up and confirm rulings without needing to be on the field with so many distractions.
