Word of caution about the hot dogs nipit.. Since they started grilling them if you don't get one right off the grill it will be like rubber....don't know why they stopped boiling them.....
Coach you are probably correct about the JV dressing up!Just another fan...which game did you see them? Could it be the j.v. team dressed up because they didn't play that week? Just wondering....
Buddy...are you needing a ride Friday? They sure miss Susan........
It all sounds good accept the fact that you haven't seen us play. Its hard to believe until you see it yourself. We are BAD. I currently think SD-38, AHS -18. Our home field advantage will help keep them under 40 and us avoiding the running clock.I saw SD play the second week. They have a good game plan in their double wing attack for them, but they only had one kid who looked like any "big play" threat. He broke a couple of 15 yard runs against North Stokes. SD dressed 14. I asked a parent if they had a jv team and "she" told me that I was watching them and most were being 8 quartered. I know the rule, but I didn't see the possibility that the 14 I saw could play two games ever in one week. Unless they let players join the team after school started, they simply don't have the numbers.
Their longest punt that I saw (in 3 quarters) was about 15 yards. Every snap was to 11 yards. You could block it, but even if you don't...field position is a given. Their team enthusiasm is a plus. They played hard...which reflects their head coach. Coach Tippett knows football, but there is the rub. He can see what would work, but most of the big play ideas can't be executed at a high percentage.
I have not seen Albemarle play, but I know they too will see this game as a winnable one. Tradition does matter. It is a HOME game. The fans need to act like it and get behind their boys.
IF Albemarle scores early, they will win by three touchdowns. IF they struggle and it is an even score after the first quarter, it will come down to whichever team doesn't implode. If I were betting right now, I would say AHS 32 SD 14. My opinions are just that...not intended to offend the good folks in Denton.
