Staunton city council approved 200 grand for new golf carts.....I've been retired 11 years and I bought the last ones ordered in 1997....some of them were having to be pushed up hills. It became a conservative/liberal battle with the sheeples wanting to turn it into a bike or walking course. The libs never took into account the 400 grand irrigation system that still has half it;s life left, nor did they consider that cart rentals are where the money is made.....one lib councilperson talked about people living in the backs of pickup trucks while at the same time voting for a bunch of money to install "historic" brick sidewalks in certain parts of town (there's a real tourist grab for ya huh?). Thank God that common sense prevailed in this situation

We put in an irrigation system around 88 that was $500,000. To do the entire course, driving range etc would hav been $750. Driving range looks like Calif at times.
