AJ Ferrari arrested in Nebraska yesterday on a warrant from Texas for a previous arrest there. The report on the Husker Nation web site had a statement from Nebraska that they were aware of the arrest but no other information provided.

News says he was pulled over in Nebraska going 90 and the Nebraska trooper learned that he had an extradition warrant from Texas. Getting pulled over going 90 is bad on its own for someone skating on as thin ice as AJ.

Generally, states only extradite for felonies. It is also not always a super fast process. It usually takes over a week. This might be the end for AJ at Nebraska.

But 90 in a what? 90 in an 80 not terrible, 90 in a 55 different story.

Very fair point. Regardless, the speeding issue is peanuts compared to whatever the warrant out of Texas is for. It is unlikely that it was something minor like an unpaid fine.

Bond set at 25k (10%), next hearing is Feb. 17, and he is fighting extradition.

Do not mess with "the peace and dignity of the State of Nebraska".

He’s not actually “fighting”, they do this so he can post bond in Nebraska, instead of waiting to be picked up by Texas which could take days or weeks. He will likely go take care of the Texas warrant before his next court date in February, and the Nebraska case will be dismissed. Terrible timing for him, of course, but FAFO

Read an article about Manning's thoughts on this which was basically; kids make mistakes, posted and got out, trying to get it reduced to a misdemeanor, will see how it goes, haters gonna hate...

The Collin County charge is evading arrest in a vehicle… I haven’t clicked the links but is there an explanation of why they were trying to arrest him in the first place? The easy guess is taking off to avoid being pulled over for speeding, but 🤷‍♂️

Manning should’ve just been honest and said “Look, he’s a very talented wrestler who we paid a lot of money to help us compete for a team trophy. Until he’s in prison or accused of killing someone, we’re going to trot his a$$ out there.”

Ferrari is who he is. I don’t care what anybody says about how “He’s matured/changed”. Trash is trash. Call balls and strikes. He’ll continue to do stupid stuff until his problems outweigh his talents. And Manning better pray to God that when (not if) he screws up again it’s something like speeding and doesn’t involve assault.

And is it true that if it goes bad Manning can just throw a brick or simply say "what's he doing?"

“He’ll continue to do stupid stuff until his problems outweigh his talents”. That moment is approaching fast.
