Four-star receiver A.J. Henning (Lincoln-Way East, Illinois), four-star running back Blake Corum (St. Frances Academy, Maryland) and four-star linebacker Kalel Mullings (Milton Academy, Massachusetts) were each named Gatorade Player of the Year in their respective states.

Henning, Michigan’s top-ranked commit in the 2020 class, had 28 total touchdowns in 2019, including a 56-yard touchdown run in the team’s Class 8A state championship. He is the 19th-ranked receiver in the class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He has been selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Game on Jan. 4.

Has there ever been a serious/career ender in one of these games? I've watched so little of these to even remember.

Not that I have seen but you know it is football. I would imagine he will play.

If it’s anything like the Powder Puff, I mean Pro Bowl, there’s zero percent chance of getting hurt. Go play and have fun!

I would think being selected/invited to play in this game is enough. I'm guessing Michigan would prefer him not to play. Looks good on the resume, but nobody remembers these games. Players like A.J. have nothing left to prove at this level.
