Well that's a pretty big blow. Even if it's not a WVU problem, but a general change in the way things are with NILs and the portal, it's going to be hard not to have more than a dispassionate interest in college ball anymore.
Once a Mountaineer always a Mountaineer. Welcome home. Mountaineer nation. It's all bullshtt. Screw sports. Waste of time, money and energy. Settle this crap and go to DIII.
At this point someone on the team needs to hold a players only meeting and say you’re either on board or GTFO. Stop acting like your friends when your teammate is turning their back on you and your program. If anyone is truly playing for the name on the front of the jersey anyways. I would be shocked if this is the last starter we lose.
Well, I think they are "GTFO". Pretty evident a players meeting isn't needed. Mesidor uses the excuse "unsafe on campus". That's great for recruiting the next group of players!
He did say that he felt unsafe on campus in the last 48 hours, meaning since he announced he's leaving, thus it wasn't the actual cause of his meeting. But still, him wording things like that indicate he's been captured somewhat by the current mania and moral panic.
If people still enjoy watching the games and get some entertainment from it, that's great...but what made most of us love the game is gone.
Could name lots of the problems but basically it's just not fun anymore.
Well I can't support someone who hides behind the "victim" card. Just man up and say you wanted to go to a better opportunity which is what drove the decision. This "I don't feel safe" is the under 30 "get out of jail free" for any and all actions.
Lol...but remember "once a Mountaineer...always a Mountaineer. " that is such crap.
