BREAKING:

Kira Lewis Jr. of Alabama, who entered the transfer portal after Head Coach Avery Johnson was let go, is now said to be on Duke’s radar.

Duke is one of three schools, along with Memphis and TCU who have already contacted Lewis.

With the expected departure of Tre Jones, and the uncertainty of Boogie Ellis coming in starter ready, Lewis is an intriguing option for the Blue Devils.

Lewis May be forced to sit out next year due to transfer rules, but with the coaching job in limbo at Bama, and the NCAA handing out eligibility waivers like candy it would seem plausible he could come right in ready to play.

Kira was the second youngest player in College Basketball this season, as he is still 17 years old, but was still named to the ALL SEC Freshman team.

Yeah, that's like 3 successful transfers in 30 years. Thanks for proving my point.
Yea that's not because Duke is selective of who they take, it's because for some reason transfers don't want to play for Duke. U can't be that dumb

It seems like when Duke pursues a transfer we've done pretty good. I cant remember many guys that we went after and didn't get. Cremo? Reid Travis? Jason Collier a hundred years ago?

If Tre leaves he'd be a huge get. Though I'd honestly just rather have another year or 3 of Tre, if he can develop a better jumper in the off season he could be stupid good next year.

This guy can score. I don't know at what efficiency, but I looked at some box scores and he put up 24 on Georgia, and 19 on Vandy. I believe his average was 12 ppg

Tre Jones is not ready for the NBA. No chance he gets drafted in the first round, and I honestly think Trevon Duval was more NBA-ready last year than Jones is at the same stage. And Duval wasn't ready at all.

If tre leaves we should definitely go after him. Even if tre doesn’t leave i think we should. I think having valuable backcourt options is very important. We’ll have goldy but we know he has his offensive limits. Boogie is more of a scoring guard. I just don’t think going after him hard will hurt

Worked out pretty well for Rodney Hood, Seth Curry and Dahntay Jones
The first and best of them all?

They pursued Joe Cremo didn't they?
Rough end for Cremo, barely stepped onto the court for Villanova in the Conference & NCAA Tournament.

Every transfer Duke has taken wince K’s been at Duke has been successful. I’m not sure what the Heels fan was trying to prove. He probably doesn’t, either.
