Glad to amuse. I wish Alabama was on your schedule next year, instead of ours. I'd like for you to face a whole conference schedule of this. You have no idea what it is like, son.

You don't play Alabama every week SON. Vandy, SC, Mizzou, EKU, Charlotte et al. You're hurting right now guy. I get it.

I have always thought it's strange that we root for teams that kick our *** year in and year out.
Conference loyalty is bull crap. I hope the east stays down and the west go spiraling down too. My only thing was we compete with msu for so many recruits that them getting killed helps us in head to head battles.

Since we're in the SEC East we don't face a conference schedule like this. We played the 19th and 23rd ranked team in the country according to the current rankings.

This year was the exception. Normally, the SEC, East or West, is a death walk. I'd like to see the Tards or the Bearcats have to deal with it on a yearly basis. Even the Buckeyes learn the hard way in bowl games, last year excepted.

These same hoop fans have probably never darkened the door of a SEC stadium. I've been to all of them - multiple times. And will be headed to New Orleans tomorrow for the Sugar Bowl as I do every year.

I'm looking forward to my reunion with all of my B1G and ACC buddies.***

So very strange
Not as strange as you coming over here to troll. It's one thing to occasionally hit and run with a troll post but I would guess that every single one of your posts is on this board instead of the Tard board. If you are that obsessed with UK, why not just join the BBN? You will feel a lot better about yourself.

I'm a KENTUCKY fan, in all sports. And yes, I always root for a fellow SEC school over one from any other conference, always have for over 50 years.
We'll never be on Alabama's level in football, but by the same token they'll never be on OUR level in basketball. I only wish our football program could be half as good as theirs year in and year out.

I love to watch a great football team; great players and very, very well coached; it's a thing of beauty. That's what you get when you watch 'Bama, so maybe a lot of us true Blue fans live vicariously through their success. I really don't care if anyone likes it or not, when my Wildcats play Alabama I root for my Cats like hell, but I see nothing wrong in rooting for the best SEC team when they're not playing UK.

I remember fondly when we actually BEAT 'Bama several years ago and thinking maybe we had turned the corner. Every UK fan longs for the day when we can compete with them on the gridiron, I know I sure as hell do.

I'm a diehard Big Blue fan, but I root for the SEC, especially against a Big 10 team.

but if you read many national boards you'd realize that most bama fans were happy we lost to wisc last year in the final 4 and they dont even care about basketball. i get pulling for the sec against certain conf for pride sake but in all honesty they dont reciprocate. it's a bloodbath and auburn hopes lsu and bama lose every game to even acc schools. bama doesn't care if any sec school does well but them. uf fans hate uga, ut, scar, and hell, they even hate us and we haven't beat them since pam andersons boobs were real... or maybe even before that.

Oh, I understand, I do, but I just truly enjoy watching a really good football team, and I guess I just respect the 'BAMA program. I get the rest of the conference doesn't respect us, but that's on them. JMO.

Lies. Bama fans don't even know what a basketball is.

Inside conference play I don't cheer on any program other than UK. But, when bowl season rolls around, I want the SEC to win every game. It can only make playing in the SEC more attractive to players we recruit.
Also, Alabama football is the closest thing to Kentucky Basketball so, I can understand how they attract all the haters and trollers.
Finally, there is so much hate out there for the SEC in general that I am glad when teams from our conference put a beatdown on supposed contenders from the other power conferences. The SEC had a stranglehold on the football national championship for 7 straight years and that created a lot jealousy and hate. Just like everyone loves to see UK basketball lose, the same is true of SEC football. Fans and media types of non-SEC programs are continually hoping for the demise of the SEC.
And then you get something like what Bama did to MSU on Thursday night. Kinda funny really.

We could hope the best SEC teams lose and the the conference as a whole slips into mediocrity. But, if that is our perspective, we probably should just move to the ACC.

If you are a college football fan and not an Auburn Tiger, you have to love watching what Bama does year in and year out under Saban. He and that school have been the closest thing to dominant in many years. I really respect Dantoni and his run at MSU, and thought and hoped the first 1.5 quarters of this game would indicative of the whole, but Bama represents the Beast of college football. Hard not to be impressed.

I am happy with the outcome. If you look at UK's roster, you see kids UK grabbed that would normally go to MSU. The two schools are currently fighting for Ohio kids. We lost two really good ones to the Spartans last year. This blowout shows recruits that being the best in the Big Ten is often like being middle pack SEC. Had MSU beaten Bama, our message would be even more difficult.

I cannot imagine any true UK football fan wanting that.

Seems like an easy concept to understand.
